There is a massive disconnect at this clinic between the administration and the medical team. On one hand, the doctors and specialists are amazing, professional, and deeply compassionate. On the other hand, the front desk customer service is completely unacceptable. The office employees need a serious reality check regarding how they speak to and treat patients; a little kindness and common sense would go a long way. It truly pains me to say this, but despite how wonderful the physicians are, I cannot recommend this office solely due to the poor support staff experience. Management needs to look into better training or staffing changes immediately.

It’s sad that I have to write this review because I truly believe the doctors and specialists here are amazing people. They have been caring, professional, and supportive throughout the experience. However, the front desk staff and overall customer service from the office employees were extremely disappointing. The way patients are spoken to and treated needs significant improvement. A little more professionalism, common sense, and kindness would make a huge difference. Because of the poor customer service experience, I unfortunately cannot fully recommend this office, despite how wonderful the doctors are. It’s a difficult review for me to leave because the medical providers themselves deserve praise, but the office staff and overall support experience really need improvement, whether through better training or staffing changes.

Extremely frustrated with this clinic. They initially matched me with the wrong specialist (an oncologist instead of a specialist for my actual condition), and then canceled my appointment. Because of their scheduling mistake, I ended up taking an Uber all the way to the clinic for absolutely nothing—wasting both my valuable time and money on round-trip fares. It is incredibly unfair that patients have to pay out of pocket and suffer the consequences of the clinic’s lack of oversight. Unprofessional and deeply disappointing.

‘Review for Dr. Dai, Dr. Calhoun, and Team’ Dr. Dai is an amazing OB-GYN — caring, understanding, and deeply experienced. She takes time to listen, explains everything clearly, and truly understands the anxiety that comes during a critical pregnancy. Even with her busy schedule, she always makes time for her patients and has often squeezed me in between appointments when I needed her most. Because of her strong experience, Dr. Dai understands things without you even having to say them. You can walk into her office feeling stressed and overwhelmed, but her calm presence, emotional intelligence, and awareness of her patients’ mindset immediately eases that tension. During my pregnancy, I had both gestational diabetes and preeclampsia, and Dr. Dai was extremely cautious and proactive about my care. She made sure every precaution was taken. During my delivery and hospital stay, when I wasn’t in a state to make decisions, she made all the right calls with compassion and confidence. Dr. Calhoun, who performed my C-section, was equally wonderful — empathetic, calm, and reassuring. Her kind words and steady presence made a world of difference during such an emotional and intense time. She handled everything with great skill and care, ensuring both my baby and I were safe and comfortable throughout. The office staff is efficient and professional. The medical assistant is organized and responsive, which helps the practice run smoothly. However, a little more empathy in communication — especially over the phone or through MyChart — would make a big difference for patients. For the staff, these interactions may feel routine, but for patients reaching out during a stressful or uncertain time, every message or call often comes from a place of worry. A kind and understanding tone can go a long way in easing that anxiety and helping patients feel supported. Overall, I’m deeply grateful to Dr. Dai, Dr. Calhoun, and their team. They are not only exceptional doctors but also compassionate human beings who truly care for their patients. I couldn’t have asked for better hands to guide me through my pregnancy and delivery. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for outstanding, empathetic OB-GYN care.

I went back and forth for months about whether to share this review. I wanted to be sure I was not reacting out of emotion but out of honesty. Ultimately, I feel I have to speak up. I am 35 years old and experienced my first miscarriage in September 2024. After that loss, Dr. Prasad told me I could message her directly if I became pregnant again and that we might consider starting progesterone. When I became pregnant again in October, I reached out right away. Dr. Prasad was on vacation, so the nurses referred me to another doctor who prescribed progesterone and ordered HCG testing, but no one checked my progesterone levels. It felt rushed and impersonal. I never heard from Dr. Prasad directly, even when she returned. At my eight week ultrasound, everything looked good, which was a huge relief. But at eleven weeks, I started bleeding heavily and went to the ER. The baby still had a heartbeat. The ER doctor told me to follow up with my OB for a more detailed evaluation. I messaged Dr. Prasad, but the nurses responded that since the ER visit showed a heartbeat, there was no need to come in sooner. Once again, I did not hear from Dr. Prasad personally. At my twelve week scan at a separate clinic, I told the staff about the bleeding. They found a large subchorionic hematoma measuring about seven by two centimeters. No precautions were offered, only a note that my OB would review the results. At my same day follow up, Dr. Prasad told me to take it easy but did not emphasize the size or risk of the hematoma. She did not recommend extra monitoring beyond my standard sixteen week appointment, which did not include an ultrasound. I had to advocate for myself to get the hematoma checked sooner. Later, through my own research, I learned that hematomas of that size often warrant closer monitoring, something that was never discussed with me. Even with ongoing bleeding and cramping, I kept being told to go to the ER if it got heavy. When I asked for an ultrasound, I often felt dismissed. I eventually got scans at fifteen and sixteen weeks showing the hematoma was shrinking, which gave me some peace of mind. When I asked if it was safe to travel, Dr. Prasad said yes, just to make sure I walked around to avoid clots. There was no mention of travel risk related to my condition. Two days later, I flew out. Less than twelve hours after landing, I miscarried at sixteen weeks while at my parents’ home. It was the most devastating experience of my life. I will never know what caused the miscarriage, but I cannot shake the feeling that my concerns were not taken seriously. If I could go back, I would have put myself on strict rest and avoided travel entirely. At my postpartum visit a month later, Dr. Prasad had not reviewed my baby’s testing results. I had to explain the findings to her myself. When I brought up the travel recommendation, she said she had told me not to travel, but the only reason she gave at the time was lack of medical care mid flight, not the actual risk related to my hematoma. I truly wish my care had been handled with more attention, communication, and compassion. I trusted this office during the most vulnerable time in my life and left feeling unseen and unsupported. I deserved better care. And my baby deserved better care too.
