Pretty disappointing experience. After driving an hour to bring my cat in, I waited a long time just to be told the doctor didn’t want to come in that day and that I could leave my cat there until whenever they decided to show up. That is not acceptable. If you can’t even make sure your own doctor is available when people have scheduled appointments, how am I supposed to trust you with my pet’s care? My time matters, and so does my cat’s health. Do better and don’t waste people’s time.

Wish I knew this before I signed up. I recently moved from Fremont to Sacramento tried to cancel and was told I have to keep it till the end of the year so I asked if I can use it in Sacramento. That's a big fat no! So I have to pay for services I can not use!?! So pissed! What a waste of my hard earned money!

I’ve had a really positive experience with VCA Mission San Jose. The staff and doctors are always friendly, caring, and professional. They take the time to really understand what’s going on with my dogs and provide clear explanations and treatment options. What stands out the most is the follow-up care—they actually reach out to check how the pets are doing if they are under medication, which shows how much they truly care. It gives me peace of mind knowing my dogs are in such good hands. Highly recommend this clinic for anyone looking for compassionate and attentive veterinary care.

I’ve been with VCA for years and it got rocky there for a bit, but we stayed when Dr. Lai came on board. He has the patience of a saint. Not only do I have two big pita dogs with miles of issues, I’m sure I can be a bit of a pita myself because I want to know. I want to know what he’s doing, why he’s doing it, probable outcomes…. I’ve been singed a bit in the past with other vets (and I probably border OCD (or some other personality malfunction)) but he always answers my questions in detail – and in a language I can understand. I really hope VCA treats him well and he stays forever.. or at least for the duration of my dogs.
