Based on my friend's recommendation, I have booked UniRelo for moving my 22 boxes from US to India. We have opted for self-packing the boxes as we had some delicate stuff and we want to be double sure that we pack it right. As recommended by UniRelo, we got the 24 x 18 x 18 boxes from Lowe's which were double walled. After updating our initial requirements on the website, we received a quote and after some refinement of requirements (number of exact boxes and size), we got a final quote. We did all our packing and on the scheduled date, the boxes were picked up from my US home. We were in constant touch with the UniRelo team and none of our mails went unanswered for more than a day. Once the boxes were loaded, we were given a tracking number of shipment/Ocean carrier. The Texas port to Chennai port took us around 65 days which was on expected lines. Then the boxes were moved to Bangalore ICD Customs and once cleared, we received the boxes at my home. Once the boxes are about to reach Chennai port, the team at Bangalore will get in touch with you and send you all the detailed requirements with respect to documents as well as passport (for Transfer of Residence benefit). I have sent my passport by BlueDart and the best thing was that it was returned to me in double packed envelope via BlueDart. I liked the way my important travel document was taken care of. We are very happy with the whole experience as all boxes came intact and even after 4+ months of travel, their condition was pretty good. We would strongly suggest to keep asking all your doubts with the UniRelo team as regards what can be kept inside boxes and what can't be. This will help is avoiding unwanted issues at Customs as they go by rules. Overall, I would definitely recommend UniRelo for having a very tension free experience and especially their customer care. I know we must have asked a lot of questions but the team was always willing to guide us at US as well as India.

Overall UniRelo offered a good service and I would recommend it to anybody who is moving from USA to India. Pros -On-time delivery(my shipment was received within 2 months) -competitive prices -shipment had no damages and was in very good condition -door-door pickup and delivery Cons -the company needs to have clear communication with the US movers/packers regarding pickup -would have preferred a faster turnaround time for our queries

I used Unirelo to relocate from USA to India during pandemic. There were multiple teams within them co-ordinating for the transfer as a whole but the communication was seamless. Right from the person who booked the transfer until the person delivered the shipment, it was a seamless coordination and the communication was on time and their support team is very responsive. Don't expect update every week, but once the shipment starts and reaches the port, at every major point, the communication is clear and the people delivering the goods were also professional and things came in good shape.

I am extremely happy and satisfied with the services provided by Unirelo. I moved my stuff from NY to Bangalore and the whole process was really smooth. The best part about this hassle free move is the door-to-door service. Fedex (Unirelo's partner) picked up the boxes from my home, though there was delay of one day in the pickup because of the mistake of Fedex driver, it was pretty easy and quick. It took a little longer(exactly 4 months) than expected to get the goods in Bangalore, this is mainly because the good were shipped late from US (probably they want the container to be full). But once the goods were dispatched from US, we could track the shipment and it was satisfying. Once the good reached Bangalore, Sky2C company(UniRelo partner in India) took it over and they were in constant touch with me giving me the updates. They also helped us with the customs in Bangalore office. After the customs inspection, finally I received the boxes in the next few days. I was so surprised to see the boxes in very good condition, except for minor wear and tear. I would strongly recommend to use their services if you are shipping from USA to India. We moved from Pittsburgh to Bangalore. After a lot of research, we decided to use Unirelo as it was the cheapest. Also, the weight per box was not a strictly 50 lbs like some of other companies. We had no communications issues. At every stage, the moving team was very responsive. Even the transit of the luggage through the ship could be tracked. Customs was a breeze and very transparent. We shipped out in December and received all the boxes without any hitch end of march. We highly recommend using Unirelo. (Full disclosure : We were told that we will receive an Amazon gift certificate for posting the review. That said, our experience was an independent assessment and would have been the same even without the aforementioned gift.)
