Our daughter has been taking art classes with Elaine for the past few months and it has been a great experience. She looks forward to every class and comes home excited to show what she created. Elaine is patient, encouraging, and clearly knows how to work with younger kids in a way that builds confidence rather than pressure. The instruction and environment were consistently positive. Communication was easy, and she was flexible and accommodating whenever conflicts came up. If you are local and looking for a supportive place for a child to explore art and creativity, I would strongly recommend her classes.

We came to SW ART STUDIO through a friend’s recommendation, and after just one trial class, my daughter absolutely loved it! Part of the reason is that many of her classmates are also enrolled here, which makes it extra fun and familiar for her. But what impressed me the most is how modern and well-equipped the studio is—each student gets their own digital screen to choose the drawing style they want to work on, which really encourages creativity. The teachers here are incredibly friendly, professional, and patient. My daughter is currently learning sketching and basic drawing techniques as a foundation before starting digital art in September. Her teacher, Elaine, is amazing—she takes the time to guide each student carefully and gives them personalized practice exercises after every class to strengthen their skills. I also love the studio’s motivational points system, where kids can earn small prizes for their efforts—such a great way to keep them engaged and excited about learning. Overall, this is a fantastic art school, and I highly recommend it to any parent looking for a high-quality, engaging art program for their child!

My daughter started at this studio earlier this year. She has quite a few projects that she wanted to complete. The studio is personalized enough to assist and guide her to finish up her projects with great quality. I look forward to her future art journey here!

We’ve been with SW art studio since February of 2024. We also attended the summer camps last year and this year, and an Art competition. I could not be more thankful for the studio and the teachers. What I like about the pedagogical approach is that the teachers let students choose their own painting based on interest. This makes the whole painting personally meaningful for students. I can see my daughter’s sense of ownership increase, and painting becomes more about personal expression. Before SW, I wasn’t sure this was doable at this age! All the techniques become contextualized and relevant. I’ll show a picture of the Minecraft cube that my daughter drew during summer camp. Despite having never learned about three d objects, my daughter was able to gain some basic understanding of dimensions and proportions from the classes, all thanks to the teachers’ patient, clear, and age-appropriate instruction. Truly, every lesson becomes a memorable experience in some way. Ms. Elaine always greets everyone with smiles, and the teachers are all very professional and approachable. You can tell from how they treat the students that they are educators who truly delight in the students’ progress, and they want kids to not only learn to draw but also enjoy art. We’ve been driving back and forth from San Jose to Fremont, sometimes as much as five times a week during the summer, just so our daughter could keep coming to the studio. That alone says a lot about how much we value the lessons here. With the new studio, we are glad that commute time is cut in half. If you want your kids to fall in love with art and find their voices expressed through art, I recommend doing a trial lesson at the sw studio. I hope you will enjoy the lessons as much as we do!

My child has been attending art classes at SW Studio, and we couldn’t be happier! Every class is thoughtfully designed, and there is always a clear takeaway or completed artwork at the end of each session. The instructors are not only talented artists but also incredibly patient and encouraging. My child looks forward to every class and has grown so much in both skills and creativity.
