I had an excellent experience with SVSTI in Milpitas, and I’m genuinely grateful for the way they prepared me for this field. Their program did not just prepare me for the easy parts of sterile processing. They prepared me for the worst possible scenarios, the stressful moments, the pressure, and the reality of working in healthcare where details truly matter. The instructors were beyond strict, and honestly, that was exactly what I needed. I really appreciated the tough love, because that is what this job calls for. In sterile processing, mistakes matter, standards matter, and patient safety depends on people being trained the right way. Their high expectations helped me build discipline, confidence, and respect for the seriousness of the work. SVSTI also takes its reputation very seriously, and they expect their students to reflect that. That is perfectly understandable. When a school sends students into hospitals and healthcare facilities, those students represent the program. I respect that they hold students to a high standard because it protects the school’s reputation, the facilities they work with, and the profession itself. All of the instructors and assistants went above and beyond. They took the time to help students understand the material, correct mistakes, and develop the habits needed to succeed in a real sterile processing department. They pushed us because they cared, and looking back, I’m very thankful for that. I also really appreciate how hard they work to find excellent externship opportunities at very legitimate facilities. That matters, because getting placed somewhere strong gives students real exposure to the field and helps them understand what the job actually demands. SVSTI does not just teach in the classroom and then disappear. They help connect students to real healthcare environments where they can grow, prove themselves, and start building their future. What stands out to me most is that the people teaching there do not have to be doing this. With their knowledge and experience, they could be working as supervisors, managers, or leaders in SPD or surgical tech if they wanted to. They choose to be there because they want to teach, help students succeed, and improve the field. That says a lot about their commitment. SVSTI gave me a strong foundation, real confidence, and a much deeper respect for the profession. I would highly recommend this program to anyone who is serious about getting into sterile processing and wants to be trained properly for the real world.

I already registered in Central Sterile Processing Program at SVSI. Because i am interested in Sterling field. Also have passionate about it! The employees here very helpful and always remind of preparing for everything in advance. Although my Class not start until next month. I did lot of research before choosing this School after i completed first School. If you want a good career training School SVST definitely good one! SVST is your success in the future! I highly recommend it!

Great surgical technologist and spd school. They offer actual hands on experience with instruments a tech would use in an operating room, and their spd department has working decon sinks and a steam autoclave to get hand's on experience. If you're looking for a career change into the medical field I would recommend this school. (Written by an actual student that's in the program)

Class of 2024 - 2025 I had a truly amazing experience at SVSTI while earning my degree as a Surgical Technologist. Getting into the program was smooth and pretty straightforward, which made the start of my journey much less stressful. The CEO, Julie Hamrick, is absolutely incredible her dedication to student success is unmatched. She, along with the instructors, is extremely knowledgeable and always willing to assist whenever we needed help. What really stood out was how patient and understanding the instructors were, especially knowing that many of us came in with little to no healthcare experience. They challenged us to grow, pushed us out of our comfort zones, and helped build our confidence every step of the way. Thanks to the support, guidance, and high standards at SVSTI, I now feel well prepared to enter the surgical field. I’m incredibly grateful for the experience and would highly recommend this program to anyone looking to become a surgical technologist. STAY HUNGRY, STAY HUMBLE.
