Small restaurant serves local people - expertise in Shanghainese food I’ve been dining with this restaurant for decade already. Chef is still now enthusiastic about food and quality. Food quality is always fresh and clean. Make sure you tell them less greasy and less salt upon order. They can adjust and make a lot of fresh food. My family likes this spot. It is out no.1 choice for family dinner spot

okay, I love Sichuan and Hunan style because they have so much flavor. there's also Shanghai cuisine, which has flavor without the chillies of Sichuan/Hunan. today, we went to Fremont to Shanghai Flavor. it's a super good Shanghainese restaurant. it opens at 11.30 on Saturday. within 20 minutes, it was full. folks, it's a small place, but that's fine. great service. if you can, get an order of moon cakes. only available on special occasions. if you're on the peninsula, we're lucky to have Chef Zhao Kitchen in Palo Alto.

Food: Verified by our coworker from Shanghai: AUTHENTIC. The flavors are really great! Especially their pot! You get so many things, including glass noodles, vegetables, seafood and meat; and the broth! Best taste ever. Their steam rice is really good as well and definitely be mindful with their portion haha. Ambiance: clean and comfortable! Service: can’t describe how welcoming and attentive the staff were. We’re offered good recommendations and service. Personally, I spoke mandarin and bringing someone who can speak mandarin does make a difference!

First time visit at Shanghai Flavor. On a whim, we were looking for Hong Kong Style food but ended up here, thanks to Google. We sure are glad because food was delicious and service was excellent. The server was impressed at our food selection cause it seemed like we knew what we were doing. Thanks to the reviews, we simply chose what most reviewers order. After enjoying our meal, we surveyed other guest's food selection. There's more to taste in our next visit. Looking forward to trying other entrees in the menu. It's pricey here but portions are good. We highly recommend this place.
