I had a really disappointing experience at Sakoon. We went for dinner and ordered paneer starters, naan, and a paneer gravy dish. The paneer starter was served cold and was extremely chewy, almost inedible. While the staff did replace it after we complained, it took a long time for the new dish to arrive. Unfortunately, the issues didn’t stop there — even the main course (naan and gravy) was served cold. Overall, the service was slow, the food quality was not up to the mark, and the experience was quite frustrating. Even though they tried to fix things, it didn’t make up for the overall poor experience. I would not recommend this place based on my visit.

Had a good meal here with a friend. The food was great. Only downside was they had an event going on in their private dining area so the service was a bit slow. I want to come by during the all you can eat lunch next time.

We recently hosted a family celebration in the Diamond Hall at Sakoon Fremont, and overall had a very positive experience. A special thanks to Diya, who was wonderful to work with throughout the planning process. We first met her about two months before our event. Even though we were still deciding on the venue, she held the Diamond Hall for us without asking for an advance, giving us the flexibility to finalize our plans. We made our decision and paid the advance about a week later. We visited the venue several times before the event, and later returned for the food tasting and menu selection. Diya was patient, answered all our questions, and made thoughtful menu recommendations. We ended up choosing most of her suggestions with just one small change. During the final week, we had to increase our guest count twice, including one change the day before the event. Diya accommodated every request without hesitation, which we truly appreciated. On the day of the event, everything went very smoothly. The starters and dinner were excellent, and many of our guests complimented the quality and taste of the food. Diya and her team were professional, attentive, and handled everything efficiently behind the scenes, allowing us to enjoy the celebration without worrying about the logistics. Overall, it was a seamless experience from planning through execution. Thank you to Diya and the entire Sakoon team for helping make our celebration a memorable one. I don’t usually write long reviews, but Diya and her team truly deserved the appreciation.

I was very disappointed with my recent catering order from Sakoon Catering. The food quality was poor: items were not delivered in hot boxes, pakoras arrived cold and seemed to have been prepared much earlier in the day, the Dahi Bhalla was frozen and not edible, and the tava vegetable dish was simply a mix of frozen vegetables and potatoes with no flavor, rather than the fresh preparation expected. The service was equally frustrating. The food was delivered by someone who did not speak English and had no authority to address issues. When I tried to speak with the management representative, Diya, I was met with anger and frustration instead of support. I reached out to Balkar, the owner, whom I have known for over 20 years and worked with on larger events in the past, but instead of resolving the situation, he threatened me over payment. I requested to pay by credit card, but he refused to accept it over the phone and demanded cash. This was shocking given my long history as a loyal customer. Overall, the experience showed a lack of professionalism, care, and respect for customers. Based on this order, I cannot recommend Sakoon Catering. It is clear from my experience and from other recent reviews that the Fremont Indian community has had enough of this outfit’s disrespectful attitude, poor food quality, and questionable practices. The insistence on cash payments raises serious concerns about transparency and compliance, and I believe this warrants investigation. Overall, Shakoon Catering failed on food, service, and professionalism. I cannot recommend them.

Decent place to go with family n friends . On buffet, Lots of veg n non veg dishes with 5- 6 appetizers n 3-4 deserts. Unfortunately I did not like any of desert!! Lychee halwa was average, Rasmalai which is my favorite desert was quite disappointing 😞. On the positive note, good starters and main dishes. While we went to get appetizers they served us Naan whish does not make any sense so we told them to serve Naans only when we are ready to eat main dishes which they did. Naan were fresh n crispy! ☆☆☆☆
