This place was nice. I've been to a lot of sushi buffets before but this place has become definitely been one of my favorites. Hey everyone. This is the Bay Area Customer. I came here mid-week with my partner to try it out. We went with the premium and ate as much as I could. The food was fresh, well made, and nice and bite sized. The service was orderly, quick and what I noticed was that they actually spray down the tables before wiping them down when they're cleaning compared to some buffets that just used the same old moist rag that has cleaned up multiple tables before hand. They even had a tv that was going over delicious Mexican food so I was confused. I was eating yet still being made hungry. The TV I've shown shows what I was seeing. I would definitely come back here again just because the service was good, the food was delicious and it was appropriately priced.

I've been here twice now and had a good experience each time. I've came once on a weekday lunch and another time on a Saturday dinner and didn't have to wait for a table (in fact, weekday lunch seemed to be busier). I've opted for the premium menu because we like to order nigiris and it's a good value for what you get. They give you a paper menu to write down your orders for each round and the food comes out in a timely manner. The fish is fresh and good quality. There's a good variety of things on the menu, but I like their nigiris, carpaccio, and rice-less sushi. But my favorite thing about this place is the rice to fish ratio! They give a small amount of rice compared to fish which I like cause I get more bang for my buck. That's pretty much the main reason why I would keep coming back. My only suggestion would be for the servers to offer to take the next round's orders sooner to avoid having a gap when eating. It almost seemed strategic that they would only come around when the table was empty. I like to keep the food coming at AYCE!

Better than the sushi you would get at a buffet style restaurant, but likely not as good as your favorite Japanese restaurant, sake2me sushi in Fremont is one of the all you can order and eat( AYCE)restaurants in the SF Bay area. You have 3 rounds to order from, and with each round, a pair of diners can order 4 rolls and 10 orders (2 pieces per order) of nigiri sushi. So technically, two people could order 12 rolls and 30 orders of nigiri sushi. I think that's how it works. Anyway, the sushi was made to order and looks good. Taste and quality wise, I'd give it a 7.8 out 10. Others may have a different opinion Portions are smaller than average, but if you can manage to eat 4 rolls and 30 pieces of nigiri sushi in one sitting, portion size becomes somewhat irrelevant. The menu is expansive, and there is a lot to choose from. Service is efficient and friendly. Parking is easy. Sake2me isn't cheap, but neither are its sushi offerings. I would say it's a good value, especially for those with large appetites. Just don't set your expectations too high.

I used to really enjoy this restaurant a few years back — the fish was fresh, the quality was there, and even the all-you-can-eat rules felt fair and reasonable. It was a spot I’d recommend to friends who wanted good sushi without feeling like corners were being cut. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was the complete opposite. The fish was bland and tasteless, a far cry from what it used to be. The rice was hard, dry, and completely lacking that subtle vinegar flavor that makes sushi rice enjoyable. Without it, every bite just fell flat. The appetizers didn’t help either — most were uninspired and poorly executed. The menu now feels focused more on quantity than quality, with heavy, flavorless rolls designed to fill you up rather than showcase fresh fish and balanced flavors. On top of that, the all-you-can-eat rules, which once felt fair, now come across as restrictive and designed to push customers toward lower-quality options. The only bright spot was the staff — they were friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout the meal. Unfortunately, good service alone doesn’t make up for disappointing food. What used to be a restaurant I recommended has now become one I wouldn’t return to.

I do not recommend this restaurant based on my experience. When we arrived, there was only one waiter serving the entire dining area while several other staff members appeared to be in the back. The waiter looked overwhelmed and exhausted trying to handle all the tables alone. After waiting for quite some time, we decided to seat ourselves and look at the menu. We continued waiting, but no one came to greet us, take our order, or even acknowledge that we were there. It was after the lunch rush, and the restaurant was not busy. Unfortunately, because my child was already hungry, we decided to leave without ordering. This was clearly not the waiter’s fault. Management should provide better staffing and support so guests receive timely service and employees aren’t left to manage the entire dining room on their own.
