My children and I have all been learning at Ran’s Art Studio with Ms. Mou, and I can’t recommend her highly enough. Before joining her studio, I had taken art classes with several teachers. Although they were patient and even helped fix parts of my paintings, I always felt dependent on them. Once I left class, I didn’t know how to continue on my own, and my paintings never had the confidence or impact I wanted. Ms. Mou completely changed that. She demonstrates techniques but never paints for her students. Instead, she teaches you how to think like an artist, encouraging you to develop your own style. She guided me through paintings I never thought I could create, and now many of my finished pieces proudly hang on the walls of my home. After seeing my own progress, I transferred both of my children to Ran’s Art Studio. The biggest surprise was my son. He is very talented but also very opinionated and difficult to teach. He had worked with several teachers and even private instructors, yet had reached a plateau and rarely accepted guidance. During his trial class with Ms. Mou, he looked at the painting assignment and immediately said, “There’s no way I can paint that.” Ms. Mou simply smiled and said, “Follow my process, and you can.” A few hours later, he had finished a painting that amazed even himself. On the way home, he told me, “Mom, I want to keep learning from this teacher.” That was the moment I knew we had found the right teacher. My daughter has also grown tremendously. Her artwork has become much more sophisticated, and she has gained confidence in expressing her own creativity. What I admire most is that Ms. Mou never asks students to copy her. Even in group classes, every student creates something unique. She encourages independent thinking, creativity, and personal expression while building strong artistic skills. Ms. Mou isn’t just teaching people how to paint—she helps her students discover abilities they didn’t know they had. We are incredibly grateful for everything she has taught our family.

Very over priced she is not good with children a bit snobby not very empathetic ! To teach children you have to empathy and be open a patient honestly this place is mediocre art studio you could probably get a better lesson out of a YouTube video skip this place !

My daughter has been taking art lessons at Ran's Art Studio for about a year now and it's great seeing how her art has improved over the months. Teacher Ran is very patient, encourages and gives helpful feedback to help improve students' art, and the studio itself is a pleasant space to be in. The student to teacher ratio is small and the students don't learn from merely copying existing pictures or by following along with the teacher, but learn from base concepts such as perspective, scale, shading, and so forth. For example, when the students are painting a vase, each student's artwork looks different depending on which angle they sitting from and the direction the light is shining on. The studio itself is very clean, well organized, well lit, and is a pleasant space to be in. My daughter enjoys the calming feel of the studio and noted that there is often classical music playing quietly in the background as they work. For parents who are interested in seeing the artwork completed by students, many of the ceramics and painted pieces are displayed so that the artwork can be seen just outside the studio. Most of the completed pieces are done on large sheets of art paper and can be easily framed for display at home. Overall, this is a really nice art studio to consider if you're looking to help your child improve their artistic skill sets.

This place is terrible. Took my cousin there and they did not have a pleasant time. Also, the teacher that teaches art is very disrespectful to children. This place should be closed down and I would not recommend you to take your children there

First of all, this place is terrible the teacher literally said,” you can put your magnets in the mug .“ and when my kids got their cups back the magnets were baked into the mug😡. My other kid had made a lid and it was missing. To make the mug so you can drink out of it the cost is 70$ that’s overpriced if you ask me.
