Rajwadi Thali serves excellent, highly authentic Gujarati food with top-notch hospitality. Unlike the more structured menu style at Vatan in NYC, the staff here keeps the food coming quickly with unlimited refills on chaats, sweets, and sides. The seasonal spread was incredible—the oondhiya, poori, and keri no ras (mango pulp) were an absolute treat that we haven’t enjoyed in a long time, and the Gujarati kadhi was also quite good. We also got some paan for the road, which was the perfect finish after eating so much. Definitely worth a visit with friends and family!

Rajwadi in Fremont offers a pleasant and satisfying experience, especially for anyone who enjoys traditional Gujarati flavors. The meal started off well with their pani puri, which was fresh, crisp, and full of flavor—easily one of the highlights of the visit. The Gujarati daal and Gujarati kadhi carried that familiar, comforting, home‑style taste, both well-balanced and soothing. Their hot fulkas were another strong point: soft, warm, and served fresh, adding an authentic touch that elevated the overall meal. The chaas (buttermilk) was refreshing, light, and tasty, making it a perfect accompaniment to the thali. The curries, however, were more on the average side. They were decent but lacked the depth and richness found in the other dishes, and didn’t stand out as much as the rest of the spread. Even so, the strengths of the meal—especially the pani puri, daal, kadhi, fulkas, and chaas—helped create an overall above‑average dining experience. Rajwadi is a good choice if you’re craving simple, comforting Gujarati food, with a few standout items that make the visit worthwhile.

I recently tried Rajwadi thali and the experience has been underwhelming. First, I somehow thought this place served Rajasthani thali, but that's on me - this place serves Gujarati thali. You don't go inside and sit at your table, you need to order in the counter and then get a table assigned which wasn't super clear on entering. The food took all eternity to come and finally the food failed to impress. We took the platinum thali and Chole Bature. The Chole Bature was quite good and tasted delicious. However, all the thali items except the roti and puri tasted bland, not justifying the $24 price. Overall, a very average experience - note that I am not from Gujarat so can't comment on the authenticity of the taste though.
