This place is absolutely stunning -- from the presentation to the flavors, R HaanThai does not miss. Every dish came out beautifully plated with fresh orchid garnishes and you could tell the kitchen takes so much pride in their food. We ordered the khao soi, pineapple fried rice, garlic shrimp, green curry with lamb shank, crispy pork, and drinks (thai iced tea, green thai tea, and a shirley temple) - honestly everything was incredible. The khao soi was rich and perfectly spiced, the pineapple fried rice was a showstopper both in flavor and presentation, and the garlic shrimp was seasoned to perfection. The drinks were gorgeous and refreshing - loved the color of the green thai tea. The atmosphere was cozy and the table setting felt elevated without being pretentious. If you're looking for Thai food that goes above and beyond, this is it. R HaanThai is the real deal --already planning my next visit!

Amazing! We finally found a Thai spot in Fremont that makes amazing tom kha soup. The first time we ate here we were able to get a table! It’s a smaller place and was very busy. We ordered a variety of items to get a taste of the place. It was also a special meal as this was our last date night before our daughter was born. We were not disappointed. Besides the tom kha soup, we also ordered Thai iced tea, Thai iced coffee, fresh spring rolls, yellow curry with chicken, green curry with chicken, two jasmine rice, and matcha cake with Thai tea ice cream. The soup was our favorite by far! Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. Also appreciate that you can choose the spice level on everything. I can only do mild and my husband does super spicy so he likes Thai hot. Even though they were very busy, the staff were friendly and attentive. We never felt rushed to leave so they could get an empty table. We appreciate that! We liked this place so much that later that week when we left the hospital to bring our baby girl home, we ordered two tom kha soups for pick up. It tasted so good! They give you a good portion and is full of chicken and mushrooms. The chicken is tender and soaks up the lemongrass coconut broth goodness. The depth of flavors makes you want more and more. It was a very tasty meal to come home to. Also appreciate that they clearly mark which soup is spicy. A couple weeks later when my mother in law was in town, we ordered for pick up as we wanted her to try this place. We ordered spicy tom kha soup with chicken, mild tom kha soup with chicken, red curry with chicken, green curry with chicken, pad Thai with chicken, jasmine rice, and pineapple fried rice with chicken. The soup was still the best in my opinion. Both curries were flavorful and had a good amount of veggies and meat. The pineapple fried rice was pretty tasty with the raisins and cashews. The pad Thai was a bit disappointing though. The noddles were thinner and not traditional pad Thai noddles. There was hardly any sauce so it was dry and the noodles stuck together. I also wish there was a bit more chicken and tofu. This is now our go to Thai spot in Fremont. We wouldn’t order the pad Thai again but will for sure be back for the delicious tom kha soup and tasty curries. Highly recommend this place!

Really loved the Koh Soi with the soft shell crab. The curry is deep delicious, creamy and rich, medium spice was perfect. The soft shell crab was totally worth it with 2 crabs in the dish. Crunchy noodles and the soft noodle texture was a nice contrast. Wouldn't hesitate to come back.

I'd say 4.5 is great, some items are soo good and others are pretty good. Love the crab khao soi. Crab awesome. Soup awesome. I like the noodles, but not the best around. Great use of vegetables The roti is a must that's a sleeper hit.

R-Haan Thai was such a cute and cozy area to dine during winter. The food was great; we ordered the drunken noodles, tom yum soup, green curry, and for dessert, matcha cake with Thai iced tea ice cream. The drunken noodles were perfect, but we were careful in which spice level we chose, which was medium out of the options mild, medium, hot, or Thai Spicy. The tom yum soup, however, was the only thing which I didn’t prefer because it was surprisingly very sweet. The green curry was delicious and had a lot of flavor. And last but not least the dessert: the matcha cake was so good combined with the thai iced tea flavored ice cream; if you love matcha I definitely recommend this! The waitresses were very kind and the place was decorated so beautifully, I loved it!
