I spent two days with Instructor Tianpeng and earned both my AOW and Enriched Air certifications. This was also my first time diving in cold water. At the beginning, I felt quite uncomfortable and even forgot some of the skills I had previously learned during my Open Water training. With the instructor’s help, I relearned how to maintain neutral buoyancy and gradually adapted to the increased buoyancy from wearing a much thicker wetsuit in cold water. I also improved my independent navigation skills and overcame my fear of night diving. In fact, we were very lucky—we saw a lot of marine life at night, including seals hunting. It made the whole certification experience much more interesting!

Very professional and patient diving instructor! Guided me through every step with great care, made me feel safe underwater, and taught me valuable skills. Amazing experience – I’ll definitely come back! 🌊🤿

Tianpeng Liang is a very experienced and great scuba instructor, he puts strong emphasis on being safe under water and teaches the techniques used in scuba diving very thoroughly. He encourages you to ask questions and answers them patiently, because it not only does it benefit your own learning, but also any small detail could be safety critical under water. Would definitely recommend him to my friends if they ever get interested in scuba diving.

We had a great experience with Tienpeng getting our PADI diving certification. We did one day instruction in the pool then two days of open water diving in Monterey. My husband only speaks English so Tienpeng instructed us in both Chinese and English and everything went very smooth. We loved the fact that there were only the two of us in his class, and we didn’t have to waste time waiting around in the cold ocean for other students to finish each skill. Instead we had more time to explore the kelp forest and put our skills to use right away. On a side note, Monterey is no tropics but it has great underwater seascapes — there were huge urchins, starfishes, snails, crab, corals, sea shells and we even saw an octopus! Tienpeng is knowledgeable, professional, patient and accommodating. I recommend him to anyone who wants to get PADI certified in the area!

Best SCUBA coach I’ve ever met! I’ve taken the open water course three times and finally got my certification. Coach TP is great and patient, definitely would recommend.
