Came here on a whim after being disappointed in another spot we had tried earlier. We picked a few dishes and we were not disappointed. • Liang Pi • Braised Beef Noodles • Cucumber salad with shank Definitely cannot go wrong with any of the above. Staff is friendly. Food comes out pretty quickly and is nice and hot.

How wonderful to find authentic, delicious Northern Chinese food. This place is a gem. When you come, join their wifi network (code at the front counter), and look up their menu. Ordering can be tricky with English, but the pictures on the menu are very good. I get the sense that you can order any item and get something delicious. Here is the hand pulled noodle soup with lamb. Tastes just like the real deal that you might find in 山西. When I was here there was definitely a language barrier for ordering, but the staff is SO nice and helpful that it’s not a problem. What wonderful people that work here. They clearly care about the food and their customers.

The roasted whole lamb is awesome and tastes well with the chilli powder and fresh garlic/onion slices. Just one minor suggestion is to provide some lemon salt for those who can’t take spicy food.

Total Score: 3.33 Bathroom: N/A Didn’t use the bathroom Customer Service: 1.5/5 No service basically except serving the food. Overheard their convos in Chinese and apparently they were out of a lot of things and kept on replacing things with other things in door dash orders?? Ambiance: 3/5 Some “fancy” decor (they had a LV statue and some goats??) but the tables were weirdly sticky and why was there nobody here???? Food: 1.5/5 Got the liang pi and it was just okay. Very spicy so only really tasted the chili oil. Veggies/sides/addons were minimal so wasn’t really a cohesive dish. Could have made this at home cuz apparently it wasn’t hand made. Wow: 0/1 Normal Chinese restaurant Total Score = (CS + 2*AM + 5*FOOD + WOW)/0.9

6:00 on a Wednesday: upon first arriving, my party were the only ones. Within a few minutes all the tables were full. The duck was delicious! As someone who is sensitive to salt, I would say the food was delicious (without relying too much on salt). We also ordered a beef noodle soup and a cumin beef "burger". I put burger in quotes because its more of a cross between a bao and an American burger (with a single patty). I appreciate a good quarter pounder as much as the next guy, but i was really impressed with the beef cumin "burger".
