An absolute gem of a spot to check out here. Getting to see pieces of the past that was used to shoot these iconic films were a treat and getting a tour of the place and learning deeply about your hometown always puts a smile on anyone’s face. For people who has never been to Fremont, let this place be your first introduction.

I attended a birthday party there. I loved the gift shop. We watched a Charlie Chaplin movie in the theater in the back of the museum. The staff were nice and welcoming. I heard that foreigners love checking out this silent movie museum.

I am genuinely blown away. For 10 dollars (at 7 pm on a Saturday) you get 2 hours of "absolute cinema", ranging from slapstick comedy to genuinely captivating pieces that require context and insight to appreciate to their fullest. The hosts during my visit were amazing, they shared fun facts and stories about the films we were watching. I'm not a film nerd, but these people are working their hardest to change that. Perhaps I should say that I'm not a film nerd *yet*. Keep in mind, the hours are very restricted since demand is somewhat limited. I believe they post a schedule of upcoming showtimes. Some shows get sold out so you might want to get tickets in advance. They have some awesome old film equipment (they even let you touch one of the pieces).

A great piece of history! FREE entry. Historical tour by volunteers (donation box near the entrance ). Authentic vintage film items, tour of theatre, and a gift shop. Volunteers are amazing! The theatre shows a silent movie on Saturdays at 7:30 PM (check calendar) with a live pianist.
