I was here with a kid and they charge mandatory tip!! I am fine for large party or if you state it in menu. I just want the restaurant to be up front. With the mandatory tip, there was no services. I had to flag down waitress twice to order. They weren’t even that busy. Even menu said if dine in you get soup, it’s no longer true. I didn’t know so I ask about it when the soup didn’t come out. The waitress just say we don’t do it anymore. Another thing that I don’t think was cool The chicken was a little dry. The beef stew pot was chewy and lots of potato.

Sad to say this was some of the worst food I've had lately. Super greasy, old oil taste, and way too much cheap sauce on everything. The cod was good, but that's about it. The tables were filthy and the whole place just felt like it needed a deep clean. Definitely watch out for the 15% fee they add to the bill. Just not a great experience overall.

It's been years since my family last dined here, so it's nice to see that New Yong Kang still had good and delicious food. We got the 3 dishes for $42 deal - the beef claypot had tender beef tendons and was not overly salty, the short rib with orange sauce was lightly crispy and yummy, and the chow mein with shrimp was solid and not overly oily. Unfortunately they ran out of pork bone soup, but the dishes were all big in portion, and so we were quite stuffed after the meal. The service was also quite good - our food arrived super quickly after ordering, and the staff was attentive and refilled our tea.

3.5 stars rounded up No wait on a Saturday when they opened at 11am. Very friendly service. Large portion sizes so 4 dishes were more than enough for 5 of us. Bamboo Shoot Shredded Pork - this was an unique item, I've never seen this anywhere before. The pork was tender and had good flavor. The bamboo shoots were soft and had good texture but not as much flavor as the pork. Braised Tofu or whatever it is called on the menu- looks salty because of the dark color but it was
