I was looking to change my hair and wanted a queer/queer-friendly hair stylist. I found Marty online and booked a Deluxe Hair Transformation appointment. I am so happy! Marty is amazing! She is a true hair artist and I felt so listened to and welcome. Her space is calm and private, parking is easy, and she is fun to talk to. I will definitely be coming back!

Melissa was an absolute joy to work with, and I cannot understate how grateful I am for the job she's done with my hair! This is my first real haircut, and I wanted to do a big chop. She delivered on every aspect of my chosen package with the utmost care and professionalism, being punctual, having a clean workspace, and being very methodical and gentle with my hair and its styling. She was very, very informative through the whole process, and answered every question I had, and followed up by informing me of the products she used to support at-home care. I left feeling super empowered to care for my hair on my own, and will definitely be coming again for the foreseeable future!

Marty is an absolute gem. I reached out to them over text and got a prompt response on what services were available, and whether they could satisfy what sort of cut I was looking for. Even with my vague direction and references, Marty was able to feel out and deliver impeccably. I am so happy with my cut (I have long black asian hair, so rest assured if you’re looking for someone who can see the full picture, I feel like Marty definitely can) and I will definitely be coming back regularly to maintain! Marty was recommended to me by a good friend and I could not have been happier with their work! I had a really bad chemical cut and they knew exactly how to cut my hair to suit my face, style, and hide my breakage! I absolutely love how my hair turned out and I’ve been getting nothing but compliments. Marty takes care of their clients before, during, and after the appointment and that speaks volumes. Melissa has what it takes to make you hair happy! Cut, color, style oh and an actual beautiful personality. Once you sit in her chair you'll be cared for in all your beauty pursuits! She is meticulous and she truly listens to your needs. She will be honest and she will take care of everything. You'll leave with what you came for and a smile on your face! I highly recommend Melissa for any hair care needs. She has also styled my daughter's hair for prom and it stayed put ALL NIGHT LONG! Dancing and misty evening in SF.
