I’m so glad that we had a doctor appointment today in Fremont or we would’ve missed one of the most delicious meals I have ever eaten and I have much experience in this category. The cheese garlic naan and butter paneer curry was authentic and wasn’t lacking flavor. My wife had the Indichin sizzler. Again the flavor carried throughout the entire dish. Masala tea -authentic. Tried the Indian single malt whiskey OMG !!!!! What a way to top off the meal. Thank you for your gracious hospitality. Will definitely return!

Visited Khaati Peeti Restaurant and had a really good experience! The food was flavorful and well-prepared, with a nice mix of comfort snacks and interesting fusion items on the menu. I especially loved their Ferrero Rocher shake — it was rich, creamy, and perfectly indulgent with a strong chocolate-hazelnut taste. A real treat for dessert lovers! We also tried a few other dishes, and everything was served fresh and tasted great. The portions were satisfying, and the presentation was nice too. Overall, a cozy place with tasty food and a must-try shake. Would definitely visit again

Our late Sunday afternoon lunch was disappointing here. Appetizers: Excited about the sizzlers, we tried both veg and non-veg north-Indian versions and found them to be tasteless. The non-veg had a pungent smell from the fish that got to all the other meat in the platter. Wouldn’t recommend either. Additionally we tried the sev poori chaat option, was sweet but good. Mains: absolutely have to try the pepper chicken! Delicious!! Don’t get the madras chicken and get the chicken korma instead. The gravies were distinct and had a good taste for both pepper and korma. Brownie was a good nostalgic finish to our meal. The ambience is super dense, and probably they have more furniture than they need.

We came on a Wednesday night, celebrating my grandma’s birthday and it was beyond our expectations. They accommodated our reservation before it became busy, allowing us to be 30 minutes late. I believe it was the owner and our server Riha who I spoke with and they were so sweet. The plus was they had fresh jamun shots, masala cokes and nimbu pani, which were top tier. We ordered so many things including the 4 foot dosa and and the lamb chops. The chaat was amazing and my family loved everything about it! 10/10

Very Disappointing Experience We visited Khati Peeti with family and honestly, this turned into one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had. First issue started with the order itself. We clearly ordered butter chicken, 4 naan, half tandoori chicken, and veg sizzler. Naan arrived first, but butter chicken never came. By the time we asked, naan was already cold. Then we were told we never ordered butter chicken, which is just unacceptable. We asked to replace naan with chapatis, they took naan away… and still no proper resolution Food quality was equally bad: • Tandoori chicken was undercooked. Couldn’t even eat one piece. • Veg sizzler turned cold within minutes. • Naan was extremely thick, chewy, and felt like raw maida. Had to send it back. • One dosa came later, that was the only somewhat eatable item. Drinks were also misleading. The “Blue Lady” drink came without the presentation shown in their photos.plz refer picture. Service experience: • Had to repeatedly ask for basic things like knife and serving spoons. • Staff told us to reuse the same spoons we were eating with… seriously? • Cloth napkins smelled bad. When we asked for paper napkins, we were given a tiny strip of what looked like toilet paper. Staff kept apologizing, but the owner (lady) was rude and dismissive. No accountability at all. End result: Almost entire food left uneaten, still had to pay full bill. They tried to justify everything by saying this is “South Indian style,” which honestly makes no sense. South Indian food is amazing, this was just poor execution and worse service. Would NOT recommend. Don’t go by ads or social media promotions.
