My experience with Sally at J & J Hair & Nails was extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, the customer service was unprofessional, and the quality of the nail work did not meet even basic expectations. My nails were uneven and crooked. When I politely asked if they could be corrected, my concerns were dismissed rather than addressed with courtesy and professionalism. This was my second visit after a long time. I had hoped things had improved, especially since Michelle has always been the main reason I returned to this salon. Because the salon is conveniently located near my house, I decided to give them another chance and have my nails done there. Sadly, this experience confirmed otherwise. I know quite a few friends who had same bad experiences there with nail. I was referred to Michelle for hair. What made the visit even more uncomfortable was the environment. A customer seated next to me repeatedly involved herself in conversations that had nothing to do with her, overheard my request to have my nails corrected, and made inappropriate remarks. She was using her phone, showing messages to the nail technician while laughing, and from the mirror across the salon, it appeared they were discussing me. Whether intentional or not, it made me feel uncomfortable, disrespected and it was inappropriate behavior by the nail technician. Customers deserve to be treated with courtesy, respect, and professionalism. Concerns should be handled privately and constructively—not ignored or made into the subject of amusement. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling that my feedback was not valued, and I cannot recommend this salon based on the service I received. They don’t need our business.

One Month Update: my nails have been growing and each one has a dent in it thanks to this garbage salon you don't going for a manicure so that a month later your fingernails have dents in them from the way the nail tech did or in this case didn't do her job correctly. Came in for a basic mani and explained I want to keep my length and I only want cleaning and nothing else. Lady filed my nails too short. When I complained she ignored my comment all together. I paid the $17 and $3 tips because I am a nice person however neither the money nor the tip was truly earned. Look at the job that was done. This is subpar. The length of the nail of middle finger is not the same as the rest let alone match the other middle finger and mind you I came in with all the nails the same length. Garbage tech doing garbage work.

I have been getting my hair done here since they opened and before that in the other salon where Michelle worked with her Sister Tina. I used to take my now adult sons to them when they were young about 14 years ago. I followed Michelle to this salon she knows how I like my hair cut and she has never let me down. Most times I go in without appointment and even if busy she will fit me in. She does very good color and highlights. She has always been very friendly. I recommend dropping in and request Michelle. I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed. I do recommend making an appointment tho.

They are usually busy and you need to wait for some time. Service is okay and price is moderate. Nothing to complain about. They will keep taking in their native language and regular people are used to it.

My favorite place to get my hair and nails done. Michelle is the best for color & cuts. Not loyal to any particular manicurist but have always had a nice job done no matter who does it. Great prices. I definitely recommend. 😊
