After reading the reviews I was excited to visit this hidden gem, as another person had described it. I arrived to a well maintained and seemingly organized thrift shop. But as I browsed, i noticed about half of the items are significantly damaged and EVERYTHING is priced way too high. In fact anything over ten years old is marked at over the MSRP when it was new. I overheard two employees adding “new” stock on the floor and one of them exclaimed the price with shock on every item while the other tried to explain why its marked so high. She even did it with a customer when he asked how much an item in the showcase. “Dang, 19.99 for this?” She blurts out before the second worker quickly jumped in to remind them it was 25% off to ease the sticker shock. Clearly they get their items from the piles of trash on the curb after moving day when someone is evicted or when an elderly relative passes away. If I were offered a free item of my choice it would be hard to select something I was willing to take. Perhaps your experience will differ but if you’ve got the time to come here and shop then you have the time to search the free listings on FB and CL to find a real treasure. **I added two pics - (1) half of the set of broken bookends with original $12.99 retail new tag intact - (2) 12” long fish, no squeak or movement. Really?!?$

They actually have open fitting rooms which is a big plus. Staff is usually nice, but today the cashier was a rude lady. No greeting, didn’t offer a bag, and then when I asked if I could use the cart to carry my stuff out she yelled no. Way to ruin a nice experience. Hope to not see her again.

I Have been shopping at Hope Thrift store in Fremont for about a year now and I have nothing but good things to say about my experiences. I really enjoy the convenience of shopping at Hope Thrift, as well as the shopping selection. I would like to take note of the friendly and helpful customer service that I have received from employees such as Rachel, and her Hope Thrift co-workers, who have made my shopping experience a joy!

First and foremost, I hope the store do well! The store was on Fremont Blvd. After it is moved the the current location, the quality of the inventory has dropped. The management should work on bring in more donations by making it easier. For example, I was told the donation starts at 10 am and if one can donate depends on their daily situations. The unpredictability makes me feel uncertain. Also, the management should work on getting better quality goods to sell and the employees should improve the speed of adding new items onto the shelf! If the store shows improvement, I do not mind to move up the stars.

I was ready to checkout but cashier said they can’t sell items without a price tag, even if they are accidentally ripped off by other people. SO MUCH effort to find clothes that fit FOR NOTHING 💔 in my past experiences they are usually able to just price the item there, so annoyinggggg
