This is a great after school program that has a big emphasis in math and chess as activities. Everything at this school is in Mandarin, including the teaching. For us we use this as a supplement for Mandarin. The math instruction has been wonderful! I'm surprised at 6.5 years old, they are able to add large numbers in the thousands, subtract large numbers, and multiplication (eg. 42÷6x7). They started teaching at the basic level of 2+2, and then continued to help them learn more. They do pick up in vans from certain elementary schools. This was a popular program at our elementary school. Initially when I chose this campus I didn't realize it was this academic, but it's actually been great. In terms of happiness, I think most of the kids are adjusted and happy. Most of the kids do look studious but I don't think it's something to be intimidated by. It's mostly good to learn self-discipline.
