Monet was able to help me out Today at the Hertz Fremont location. She was a great help, super fun and awesome person to talk to. This made experience so much more enjoyable and I was able to get into my car within 15 minutes. Overall I had a great experience with Hertz and i’ll definitely be coming and also recommending this location to friends & family.

I had a very frustrating experience with Hertz. When I picked up the vehicle, I was explicitly told that I had to purchase their insurance, even though I was already covered through my own provider. This information was incorrect, and I later found out the coverage was not required. When I called to cancel the insurance, the associate I spoke with was rude and unhelpful. I was repeatedly bounced between departments, with each one telling me to call a different number. This went on multiple times before I was finally told I would have to wait until the rental was returned before I could request a refund. After returning the vehicle, I ran into more issues. I was instructed to leave it at the repair shop, but the shop complained that Hertz does not pick up vehicles in a timely manner. Once I finally reached the appropriate department again, it took two weeks for them to “investigate” before issuing a refund for the insurance I never needed. This was one of the most stressful customer service experiences I’ve had, especially while already dealing with my car being in the shop after an accident. I would not recommend renting from this company or location.

I had a terrible experience with Hertz. I made a reservation over a week in advance, but when I arrived (after paying for an Uber), I was told no cars were available and asked to check back later. When I followed up, they said the returned cars were already reserved for other customers and still couldn’t honor my booking. I spoke with Raj and the site manager, Gessi, but neither offered a solution. This was for a business trip, and the situation completely disrupted my plans and ability to do my job. After waiting more than 24 hours, I was left without a car despite having a confirmed reservation—extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

Confirming other reviewrs that the staff here is rude and unhelpful. Also they go AWOL for stretches at a time so good luck if you are in a rush, you will just seat there hoping for them to come back. (spoiler: they were not back in time)

Fast,friendly,respectful and very professional about getting you a rental vehicle. I will definitely rent from them again!
