If you want the worst haircut of your lifetime, this is the place to go. I have been getting my hair cut at Great Clips for almost three years and have never had an experience this bad. To start, the stylist (a short Asian male) put a haircut cape on me that was totally wet around the neck region. When I asked him to replace it, he changed it with a grumpy face—and the second one he brought out was wet, too. It felt absolutely disgusting. When I asked him for style suggestions, he completely ignored me and just started cutting. Great Clips usually keeps notes on previous haircuts for reference, but he didn't even bother to look at them. He rushed through the entire haircut in about 3 to 5 minutes. Because I hadn't had a haircut in three months, the front was quite long. I asked him to leave a little more length in the front, so he took that to mean he shouldn't touch it at all. He used a trimmer to buzz the back and sides and left the front completely unblended. I understand salons get busy, but rushing a job this badly and neglecting basic hygiene is unacceptable. This stylist needs proper training immediately.

Took our kid for a haircut, but the barber was not patient at all. He kept saying my child was moving his head and refused to continue the haircut. If they offer kids’ haircuts at the salon, shouldn’t they be trained and prepared to work with children? Instead, he told us there are separate salons just for kids’ haircuts. He seemed very frustrated and irritated throughout the experience. Definitely would not recommend

This is the second time coming here and it was only because it was close and had time to get the kid a hair cut. Prior to the 7 year old getting in the chair, I showed a simple picture of a boy around his age with the style we wanted. Close to a medium skin fade. No guard around the edges to above the ear then faded up. When he was done, 5 minutes later (no exaggeration) it was nothing like what we asked for. She began raising her voice and stating that he didn’t have the hair to do what I asked for. We’ve actually had his hair cut like this in the past and knew it was what we wanted. For a $23 children’s hair cut, we were very disappointed. Not just the 5 minutes for $23, but the attitude and raising her voice. Great clips in the South Bay are far better with customer service and end result.

Rating: 1/5 Disappointing experience at the Maury Avenue Great Clips. I asked for a #2 on the sides and back, but after the cut, I requested it be shortened to a #1. The barber (an older Asian gentleman) refused unless I paid for a second full haircut. I left unhappy. A simple trim adjustment shouldn't require a second charge.

Always messes up with kids haircut … so uneven on top, back is not shaped straight and front covers still the eye - it’s same guy who messed up last time but I was polite to not say no and he messed up again even with 2 basic instructions - done in 5 mins for 25 bucks . The dude should not work if he has no interest
