Govardhan Preschool is truly one of a kind — the only preschool in the Bay Area with a curriculum deeply rooted in Indian culture. It offers something incredibly rare today, even many schools back in India are not doing. Children learn slokas, bhajans, celebrate festivals, and remain closely connected to our traditions, all while receiving a well-rounded, high-quality early education aligned with Western standards. The first few years of a child’s life are so important, and I’m grateful to see my daughter building a strong foundation at Govardhan Preschool. It has been a wonderful experience for our family, and I highly recommend it.

Govardhan Preschool is the BEST preschool for nurturing both learning and Indian cultural values. What sets Govardhan apart is the beautiful focus on Indian festivals and culture. Our child loves participating in Diwali, Holi, Janmashtami, and other celebrations, enjoying songs, stories, crafts, and traditional activities. It’s heartwarming to see kids learn about their roots, traditions, and values while having so much fun. The teachers are caring, patient, and deeply invested in each child’s development. The Montessori activities encourage hands-on learning, creativity, and independence. Our child has grown confident, curious, and more socially aware since joining. Another highlight is the pure vegetarian meals provided daily. The food is fresh, healthy, and delicious — and our child actually enjoys eating everything served at school. It gives us peace of mind knowing that nutrition and quality are always a priority.

We feel incredibly fortunate that our daughter had the opportunity to attend this wonderful preschool. What made it truly special was the beautiful way it blended Montessori methods with a deep respect for Indian values. The school celebrated Indian festivals in the most thoughtful and innovative ways, giving our child a strong cultural foundation while making learning joyful and meaningful. The Montessori approach was implemented brilliantly—subjects were introduced through hands-on activities and creative teaching methods that made even advanced topics easy to grasp. It was never about rote learning; the emphasis was always on true understanding and critical thinking. We saw remarkable growth in our daughter’s cognitive and emotional development during her time here. Another standout feature is the excellent teacher-to-student ratio. Every child receives genuine individual attention, and the care shown by the teachers is exceptional. Our daughter felt safe, seen, and nurtured every single day, which made a huge difference in her confidence and curiosity. Sadly, we had to relocate, and leaving this school was one of the hardest parts. Only after moving did we fully realize the rare and precious environment this school had provided. We deeply miss the nurturing, inspiring atmosphere and are forever grateful to the teachers and staff who helped shape our daughter’s early learning journey. Highly recommended for any parent seeking a holistic, value-rich, and joyful foundation for their child.
