Kind and supportive staff. Mary at the desk is infinitely patient and a calming presence. Dr. Balendran is patient, informative, and caring. Best vet clinic in the East Bay. It’s also usually possible to get an appointment the same day or at the very least within the next day or two. I’ve brought both a dog and cats here. We’ve had specific illnesses (UTI, URI, etc.), dental cleaning, and end of life care. Great service for each.

Dr. Balendran provided absolutely amazing care for our dog Maggie. She came in with a wound on her tail; originally there was concern of a tumor and the estimate was higher but still more economical than another vet we visited. Later on surgery day Dr Balendran felt that there is a good chance the issue could be resolved via a general cleaning and that our dog didn’t have to go under; the resulting bill was significantly less than the original procedure. The fact that Dr Balendran offered a less invasive option even after we said we were willing to put her under tells us that she is an extremely ethical veterinarian who will always do what’s best for your dog. I am very happy to recommend Golden Paws. Also all the staff is super friendly - Rich has some awesome stories!!

We recently switched vets and super impressed! The staff has been amazing since day 1. Even before we became somewhat of a regular, the doctor was always available to chat with me. She never rushed us and I can’t tell you how much we appreciate that. After our elderly dog had surgery, the staff called us to check on our dog, multiple times. It’s so comforting to know they care so much. My pets (I have a lot) are everything to me and I’m glad to have found a vet who listens. We have recommended this vet to all of our friends and neighbors. We are extremely satisfied with the entire staff and couldn’t be more thankful for what they have done for us. Thank you a million times!

Staff and doctors are very friendly here. We really enjoyed the fact that we actually get to stay with our pets when they come in to examine them. We have been to some locations where they take our pets and go to the back room. Absolutely a no no for us we would like to be there when you examine our fur baby definitely a good location and the parking is easy

We took our dog Ozzy there to have his secretion glands expressed. Our regular vet was booked out for the next month so we decided to try Golden Paws. They were very kind, the vet was very gentle and professional. Their prices were very reasonable, especially considering how much everything has gone up! I really liked them and recommend checking them out!
