2 of kids are currently enrolled in giraffe learning center. They have been there since kinder, and loved it. This afterschool picks up kids from school, and help with their homeworks. They also stays opens during some national holidays so our kids always have a place to stay instead of having me taking PTOs to look after them.

A few years ago I did much in researching the Giraffe Learning Center and decided to give this place a try. I am so glad we did it and now both of my kids have been for more than four years. Everyone there is very responsive and extremely attentive treating kids as their own, from looking after small details such as making sure our boys drink their milk to paying attention to the weather. They are also reliable in picking up our kids from the elementary school, albeit nearby. What’s also very helpful is that sometimes we run late in picking our kids with everyone being so busy, they are very patient and easy to work with when we are late. The teachers make sure to go over their homework (packets) from the school before other curriculum and let us (parents) know of anything needing our attention. After a bit of getting used to the environments and teaching methods, I can wholeheartedly recommend this place to any parents. The programs are diverse, and the teachers are excellent and patient! There’s a certain familiarity to how we grew up before coming to the United States and it gives you almost a homey feel. This is a super nice school located in Mission San Jose area. Ms. Yin and the Principal Mr. Lo are the best!

My experience at Giraffe Learning Center was quite positive, and while I was there, they provided an array of extracurricular activities, as well as a conducive environment for me to learn. I do believe my academics improved because of the extra tutoring I got from the teachers and TAs. I also feel like the packets we had to complete were reasonable in terms of the workload and difficulty level. If I ever needed help, the teachers guided me in a patient manner. There were a few students who gave the teachers a hard time, but I can confidently say I have NEVER witnessed Ms. Yin (the principal) or the staff being mean nor abusive to the students. They might have seemed strict to some, but I saw it as tough love. Giraffe provided an environment to have fun, but they focused heavily on education. It’s typically hard to get kids to do things like homework because they usually just want to play. This could be why some students might have not enjoyed their time at Giraffe as much. Now that I’m older, I am more appreciative of the structure and discipline Giraffe embodied because of the good habits that I built. You can definitely tell the staff cared about the students a lot and wanted the best for them. All I have to say is Giraffe deserves more credit and I’m sure these Google reviews are not accurate depictions of most students’ experiences. People who have had bad experiences with a business will typically find time to leave a negative review, most likely in hopes of seeing it fail. There are numerous kids who attended Giraffe over the years, and it’s unfortunate that more students/parents have not shared their positive experiences. I hope this review provides some more context and reassurance to anyone who’s considering Giraffe as a daycare/after school program. The facility is clean and they even provided snacks, games, and a bunch of activities. It’s honestly a great place for kids to learn, grow, and make new friends. I actually still keep in touch with some of the friends that I made while I attended. I am truly grateful for my experience, as well as the amazing memories I made at Giraffe.

As a former student here this place is pretty awful. I had some fond memories of my friends and only one of a teacher who was just a foreign chess teacher who came just for that. I clearly remember back in first grade I was academically behind. My first day there I got an entire packet of work that I had no idea how to do. The saggy old teacher just told me “you won’t make it”. This upon many other teachers and instances of shouting and verbal abuse. Absolutely ridiculous. The small facility as well only added to the oppressive madness

The place is pretty bad, but as long as you behave properly, the teachers won't threaten you in any sort of way. It was fun there because I made most of my friends there. They have fun activities on Fridays like arts and crafts or movies. But on many accounts, the teachers were abusive which is unacceptable. Former student (2015-2019)
