Fremont Smog Only is my go-to smog test place. As an owner of many older cars, I bring all of my vehicles here and have always had a great experience. They get you in and out quickly — usually 20 minutes tops if there’s no wait. The team is very kind, knowledgeable, and straightforward. No nonsense, no upselling, just honest and efficient service. It’s hard to find a no-nonsense, honest shop like this these days, and I’m really happy I found this place. Highly recommended — and they’re open on Sundays, which is a huge plus!

The owner and his sons provide fast, friendly, and highly knowledgeable smog check service. Our family has been loyal customers for years and consistently receives excellent care. We especially appreciate that they’re open on weekends, which is incredibly convenient given our busy schedules. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and hassle-free smog testing.

I needed a Star Smog check for my 2011 Honda Accord registration. Since I showed up on a busy day, I had to wait about 25 minutes behind a couple of other cars. To my surprise, my car actually failed the inspection! This was quite a shock because I had just taken it to an auto shop in Union City for maintenance beforehand (a whole other story). Brian, the technician who handled the smog check, explained that my air intake hose was cracked due to old age. Even though it failed and I paid for the service, Brian let me know I had 90 days to replace the part and return for a free retest. I got the hose replaced the very next day and brought the car right back. The second round was super fast, taking only 10 to 15 minutes, and Brian confirmed that it passed! I just had to pay an additional $8 CA fee. Overall, the service was incredibly fast, the customer service was fantastic, and the price was a super affordable $51 for the smog check. While prices might vary depending on your vehicle, that's an absolute steal for the Bay Area! The next day, I got it replaced and took it back to get it Smog again. It was very quick about 10 to 15 mins and Brian told me my car pass the test. I did have to pay the extra $8 CA fee. Overall, very quick service, great customer service, and very affordable price of $51 for the smog! Prices may vary as everyone has different vehicles but hey for the Bay Area I say its a steal!

Great service. Fast, convenient, reasonable prices, and customer focused. Explained everything to us in detail, test was over within 10 minutes and better prices than the others we checked. Definitely recommend.

Just looked them up on Google was in and out . Great service. They found a minor issue communicated and fixed it for me . Highly recommend!
