Parents, please be careful if you are bringing your child to Kaiser Fremont ER. We had a deeply upsetting experience on May 28 around 11:00 AM when we brought our young son in for repeated vomiting and diarrhea. He had thrown up around eight times in two hours and was extremely weak, tired, and unable to sit comfortably. The doctor was kind and quickly ordered Zofran for his nausea. Unfortunately, our assigned nurse, CYNTHIA D., LVN, did not provide the medication for around 30 minutes. During that time, we could hear CYNTHIA D., LVN having a long personal conversation with another patient who appeared to be her friend, while our sick child sat there weak and waiting for medication that was already ready. When we followed up with another staff member, we were told the medication was ready and was only waiting for CYNTHIA D., LVN to pick it up. That was extremely upsetting as parents. When I asked CYNTHIA D., LVN to give my son the medication, CYNTHIA D., LVN became defensive and rude instead of apologetic. Then CYNTHIA D., LVN demanded that we remove one of the two chairs we were using so our weak child could lie down, even though there was no other patient in the room at that moment. We told CYNTHIA D., LVN we would move immediately if another patient came, but CYNTHIA D., LVN still insisted. Most disturbing, CYNTHIA D., LVN threatened to send us back to the waiting room if we did not vacate the chair. Imagine being in the ER with a vomiting, exhausted child and being treated like a problem for trying to help your child lie down. As parents, we felt unsafe, humiliated, and completely unsupported. ERs are busy, and we understand that beds may not always be available. But there is no excuse for delaying a child’s medication, spending work time on personal conversations, and then responding rudely when parents ask for basic care. This experience seriously shook our trust in Kaiser Fremont ER. I strongly request Kaiser to review the conduct of CYNTHIA D., LVN and ensure families with sick children are treated with urgency, respect, and compassion.

We went to the ER and explained that our child was having severe pain in the left arm. However, the doctor initially did not seem too concerned and mentioned that everything looked fine with no issues and denied on the X-ray. After we continued to insist, even just for peace of mind, the doctor agreed to do X-ray, and that is when the broken arm was discovered. ER doctors should take these cases seriously and not dismiss them lightly, because people come to the ER due to real medical concerns, not for fun.

This is the worst place ever. Coming as a patient from Washington hospital and Washington healthcare, I can’t exceed the amount of professionalism Washington hospital ER has. Kaiser Fremont ER is disgustingly unprofessional, they break the law with No hippa at all. All patients hear your business and staff is extremely rude while Dr. Sousa is the most uneducated unprofessional doctor I have ever come across. This ER should be shut down immediately. I’m definitely transferring back to Washington Hospital where staff is professional. What a joke of medical staff.

Went in for lower right abdominal pain lasting for weeks and new sharp testicular pain. Got blood work/urine test done came back clean and was sent home. Ended up having a chronic appendicitis and needed surgery. Could have just gave me a ct scan and would have caught it. Was charged $2600 for absolutely nothing.

Visited on emergency due to shoulder dislocation and didnt feel nice visiting. Firstly they told there was only one patient ahead of us but kept on delaying after waiting for 1.5 hrs finally the doctor addressed us and tokd the more time its delayed the more chances of it getting severe . Also later when I visited doctor he mentioned that they missed the initial scan which helps him identify or confirm if its a dislocation. Avoid this location if you have something else nearby
