We stayed in one of their houses for an year and moved out because my family relocated overseas. When we moved into the property, it was not in great condition. The carpet had significant stains, and the hallway transition strips were broken—I reported this and shared photos shortly after moving in. The blinds appeared fine initially, but they were not in good working condition. After using them for about a year, they began to break, yet the full replacement cost was ultimately charged to us. In over 10 years of renting, I have never been charged such substantial move-out costs. It feels as though the property management is passing the cost of repairing and upgrading the home onto departing tenants rather than accounting for normal wear and pre-existing issues. I would have appreciated a fair and transparent assessment of the move-out charges. Instead, I was left feeling that we were treated unfairly and billed for repairs that should not have been our responsibility. Overall, the experience was disappointing and did not reflect the level of honesty and fairness I expected from the leasing management. I would never recommend to lease from them and unfortunately, this is my first ever such review for a leasing company.

I’ve been living on a property managed by East Bay PMC for over 4 years. The property itself was built over 40 years ago so every so often something needs fixed. The management company is generally very responsive to maintenance issues and for both times I’ve had water related (leak) problems they have a technician coordinated within an hour of placing a work order. The technicians text and coordinate directly with me to find a time that works for my schedule.

My recent experience renting with East Bay Property Management has been excellent. The rental property was in a great condition and competitively priced, but what really stood out was the service; maintenance requests were always addressed promptly. I had a good experience working with Jack Connolly , Teresa, and Luke—would recommend their team!

This is probably one of the worst property management companies I have been with in the area so it goes like this. They were renovating a unit I was quoted at 2600 and some change and then I followed up with Property management where they miss quoted me at 2900 and then I was quoted at $3100 and some change When I was communicating with property Management they were under the assumption that I was talking about the upstairs unit, I told them no in my email that I was talking about the down stairs floor level Facing the street that was being Renovated it was the only unit being renovated at the time There reply was I’m so sorry for giving you the wrong information. There was another property that became available for 2600 Dollars in South Fremont I submitted my application. I did not receive a response for several weeks until I was advised that it was no longer available. I received no communication from proper management until I had to reach out, I have moved out of the property due to safety concerns from the unit. I was currently renting out due to the stairs. Being very steep and having a newborn, Now they’re trying to charge us for some ridiculous fees when I had communicated with the maintenance guy regarding the closet doors Fire alarms etc that needed replacement. This managements sucks. I would not wanna work with or Jack Connolly or Teresa Barajas again

I’m honestly surprised by how high the Google reviews are for this property manager. Prospective clients and property owners should also check Yelp, because that experience is much closer to what I encountered. In my experience, the team was rude, unprofessional, and not genuinely willing to work collaboratively with property owners. Communication felt dismissive rather than solution-oriented, which made an already important business relationship frustrating and disappointing.
