Little bit unfair that this place has 3.8 stars as of April 2026. Giving it all 5 to bump it up. For the price and locations this place is a fast and fresh stop. Decently variated menu, with the occasional special. I got their Bangalore dosa special. It was full of ghee and a bit in the heavy side as dosas go. The filling was on the outside. Chutneys were freshly made and tasted great. Chai was excellent too. Not pictured: the ghee idli. Devoured before any photo could be taken. 5/5 experience and I’d skip Mylapore for this. Dosas should be about $10, which is about the cost here. Not $15 like Mylapore. It’s a dosa not a tray of biryani. Relax. 5/5 Will come again.

Love all south indian items here! Dosa was perfectly crispy and had amazing flavour !! just like what we get back home. The chutney and sambar were so fresh and tasty. The service was ok, staff were very polite and made sure everything was served hot and on time. Highly recommend this place to all dosa lovers! Earlier before mylapor visiting here. Rush during weekend. Option for mylapor available 8n same area

Truly authentic South Indian vegetarian place. We visit here whenever we get a craving for Dosa. They have a wide variety of South Indian options like Idli, Dosa, Vada, and a number of curries and rice dishes. They have recently added some new items like Thali in their menu. The taste is truly amazing. Service is pretty good too. Location wise it’s pretty convenient too. Overall, a very good experience.

The food tasted amazing! I really enjoyed their South Indian thali for lunch—it was delicious and very satisfying. The veg kothu parotta was flavorful, and the idli and vada combo was soft, fresh, and equally delicious. The service was great and friendly, and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone craving authentic South Indian food. Looking forward to visiting again!

In the busy Gateway Plaza of Fremont, this little South Indian restaurant was perhaps the only one before Idly Express and Mylapore caught the attention of foodies spreading customer traffic between the three. I’ve been here through many years, usually after an intense early morning hike at Coyote Hills and their food has always been consistently tasty. Dosa, vada, pongal, uppuma; especially the combos and different chutneys are a delight. You can’t go wrong with their Madras Coffee or Masala tea either. They also run specials especially for lunch. Order is usually ready in 10 minutes and prices have remained reasonable. Service has always been nice and easy. Catch a game of cricket on the tv while eating but beware of coming here 11-3 pm particularly on weekends when it gets quite tricky to find a ‘compact’ parking spot.
