Came here for brunch after a friend’s recommendation and really enjoyed it! The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and the service was great. I love that they offer individual clay pot congee with lots of add-on options. A hot bowl of freshly made congee is perfect for a weekend brunch. The highlight for me was definitely the braised pork trotters. They were incredibly tender, flavorful, and cleaned really well with no off smell at all. Honestly some of the best I’ve had in the Bay Area. The pickled pepper fish skin was also super crunchy and packed with flavor—perfect with the congee. Don’t skip the youtiao either! The only downside is that the congee takes a while since it’s made fresh to order, so be prepared to wait a bit. We spent a good amount of time staring at other tables’ congee before ours arrived 😂. But once it did, it was totally worth it. Will definitely be back!

Weather’s finally cooling down, so it was time for something warm and comforting 🥹 Had to check out this super popular Chaoshan-style clay pot congee spot in Fremont! This time I ordered the crab congee. Everything is cooked fresh to order, and you can really taste the difference. Every bite was packed with the sweetness of seafood and fresh crab meat. The crab was super fresh with plenty of meat, and finishing a hot pot of congee honestly felt so comforting and healing 🦀 For sides, I got marinated beef, shrimp dumplings, and Chinese fried dough sticks (youtiao). The beef was flavorful, the shrimp dumplings were fresh and bouncy, and the biggest surprise was definitely the youtiao — dipping it into the congee was the perfect combo!

We had a really enjoyable dining experience here. The seafood congee was served hot and bubbling, with generous portions of lobster, abalone, scallops, and other seafood. The broth was rich, comforting, and full of fresh seafood flavor. We also loved the braised pork trotters and marinated duck wings, which were flavorful and went perfectly with the congee. The red oil tofu with century egg was refreshing and a great side dish to balance the meal. Overall, this is a great spot for warm, comforting Cantonese-style congee and tasty side dishes.

The seafood congee served in a clay pot was amazing! It’s rare to find this kind of dish in the Bay Area, and it tasted very authentic. We ordered the portion for two, and it was so generous that we couldn’t finish it and had to take the leftovers home. The seafood was incredibly fresh with no fishy taste at all. The side dishes were also delicious.

Fate really be testing food lovers… because I would absolutely drive 30 minutes to Fremont again just for this congee. Weekend wait was no joke, but worth it. We ordered the clam & dried scallop congee base, then added sea cucumber, crab with roe, mushrooms, and Chinese yam. The flavor was insanely rich and fresh — comforting without being heavy. Somehow it tastes both light and indulgent at the same time. The beef congee was also super flavorful, so even non-seafood lovers would be happy here. And the braised pork knuckle platter was HUGE for only $9?? Unreal. First bite and I immediately thought: THIS is what good congee is supposed to taste like. If anyone knows other amazing congee spots in the Bay Area, please send recommendations my way!
