Oh my god, it was bad. We ordered their specialty which is chat-dahi puri and masala puri. Dahi puri had unseasoned potatoes along with chana. It was only sweet, no spicy chutney. They used white onions which was strange to see in an Indian chat item. Masala puri is not the authentic Bangalore style masala puri if you’re looking for it. The choley masala used was stinky and we had to toss this whole thing. Complete waste of my 20 dollars. Customer service was rude, no customer service at all. Avoid if possible.

Chatpatta Corner is a true hidden gem in the Bay Area and has earned its reputation as a neighborhood destination for pani puri. I had heard about the restaurant long before visiting, and it fully lived up to those recommendations. The food is consistently high quality, and the service has a warm, welcoming, family-run feel. As someone whose exposure to the wider variety of chaat is somewhat limited, I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve tried here. The pani puri is among the best I’ve had in the Bay Area—particularly notable for the hand-rolled puris, which are increasingly rare at a time when many places rely on machine-made versions. That attention to tradition and detail stands out. The pricing is very reasonable, and the family running the restaurant is friendly and hospitable, adding to the overall experience. For authentic chaat in an unpretentious, community-oriented setting, Chatpatta Corner is well worth a visit.

I completely loved the place and the vibe. The bhatura Was not oily at all, and that is a clear giveaway of food being cooked fresh and like homemade. The pani puri Was delicious and spicy perfect for my tastebuds like Mumbai. The showstopper was the paratha, With Chai. The Decor on the wall is cute. I highly recommend eating at this place.

This is THE best chaat I’ve had in the Bay Area. When I lived in Fremont, I came here once a week, and now that I’ve moved away, I try to make sure I stop here any time I come to the East Bay. Must try the Pani puri/golgappas, dahi puri, and dahi papdi chaat! Honestly, everything is great though. And the uncle and aunty running the place are the sweetest.

It was an amazing experience at Chatpatta Corner, run by a hardworking and welcoming family serving delicious vegetarian Indian food. The vibe and ambience is very family-friendly and makes you crave more for the typical desi street food. We enjoyed Pani Puri, Aloo Paratha, Tikki Choley, Dahi Papdi Sev Puri, Kachori with Chutney and Aloo Sabji, and the super-special Kulfi with Gulab Jamun! The variety they offer is truly amazing, and I have to come again to try the other delicacies! Check out more on my Instagram food page @veggie_central
