Attended the beautiful church for a celebration of life for my old friend. The service was very nice.

On June 22, 2024, our family held a Celebration of Life in the dining room at Centerville Presbyterian Church. The room easily accommodated 80 people, and could have held a few more. The event went off without a problem. The Church staff planned the arrangement of the tables and chairs very well, and had those set up before we arrived. They provided a TV and sound system, both of which worked great. The wireless mic was very helpful, so some of the older people didn't have to walk to the podium. There was plenty of room for the caterer to set up easy access to the food and drinks. The venue cost was quite reasonable. We will certainly use them again when an occasion arises.

I recently visited Centerville Presbyterian Church seeking assistance with food, accompanied by my small dog who was securely tied to my bike outside. Unfortunately, I encountered an unfriendly reception from a staff member who strictly enforced a policy allowing only service dogs, even refusing to accommodate the fact that my dog was not going indoors. This policy seems overly rigid and lacks compassion, especially when considering the needs of individuals who might be in difficult circumstances. Moreover, I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome as some employees and an unknown individual recorded the interaction without offering any constructive solutions. This approach only amplified the tension and left me feeling disrespected.

I love this church! The people are friendly, and I know they do a lot of good things for the community, like having a program in place to feed people for free twice a week. The teaching is always positive and inspirational, and the music is uplifting.
