After making the reservation and getting confirmation from Budget, I go to the center. The guy at the center nonchalantly said 'we don't have any trucks'. I showed him my reservation, he said, 'it means nothing, I don't have a truck'.. He had no intention of even bothering to help me. With movers at my home and boxes ready to go, I had to rush to U-Haul and then pick up my truck. This Budget is completely messed up, they have no clue about customer service. Their field staff are not trained to talk to people politely. Biggest is.. there is no Trust.. you can't make a reservation and pick up a truck. That concept doesn't exists. I will recommend go to U-Haul in Thornton. Their customer service is breeze and I picked up my truck with ease.

Reserved almost a month out. Get a call a few hours before pickup and they say that all trucks are booked and the nearest truck is in Santa Cruz. Overall unreliable

Definitely don't recommend this place. Upon arrival, I parked in a parking space meant for customers and a man began incessantly honking at me and bullied me out of the parking space I was already in park in. Turns out he was an employee there and wanted the spot I was in. Then the other female employee working there said she didn't appreciate ME honking the horn! I literally said nothing AND gave the guy the parking spot without issue even though he was super rude. Crazy. From there, they wouldnt allow us to rent the truck without the additional inurance which increased the quoted cost by 500 more dollars. This was after we already made the reservation online and came to puck up the truck. We ended up leaving and going to UHAUL, which was a life saver and waaayyyy cheaper. There is a reason you dont see budget trucks around often. Save yourself the headache, scam and terrible customer service. Go with UHAUL.

Liz is a great employee, i went in with a last minute rental and she made it happen. I came from another rental place that did not have the Truck I had reserved days in advance. They put me in a stressful situation. Thankfully Liz took her time to help me. They are definitely understaffed at this location but be patient and they will take care of you.

Last Sunday, March 24th, I found a pair of bookcases that I wanted to buy. I don't have a truck, van, or SUV, and needed to rent one. It being a Sunday, all the truck rental places were closed - except Budget. The one closest to me had terrible reviews. This one in Fremont had decent reviews, and they were open until 1 pm on Sundays. I made the reservation online, and was quickly on my way to pick up the cargo van. The owner couldn't have been nicer. He processed my paper, did a walk-around the van with me, showed me where the gas tank was, and warned me about a light pole that I could have hit if I didn't know it was there. The van ran great and was easy to drive even though it was larger than I expected. It was almost brand new, only 26K on the odometer. Gets decent gas mileage. It has rubber material on the floor so my bookcases didn't slide around. It was easy to lift the bookcases into the cargo area. I was able to leave my personal vehicle inside the facility overnight. Dropping off the van and checking out was also very easy and professional. I recommend this Budget Truck Rental. (Ironically, this is the same Budget Rental that I tried to use 3 years ago. I called via telephone instead of using the online reservation system and got voice mail every time. I was very frustrated. I ended up calling another car rental agency that had a live person answering the phone. Maybe online is the best way to reserve vehicles here.)
