I’m a bit of a vampire so this morning I came in at 4 AM. Do you see yourself after a few minutes? That server will come assist you. It seems they’re still busy with online orders as although it’s a big restaurant and there’s no one there except maybe three small tables. The server seemed pretty busy still. The place, definitely reminds me of old school American dining with a gigantic menu and too many offerings, but in a nice vintage kind of way. I can eat a lot of food so I opted for their bowl special which I just realized I forgot to take a photo of my receipt, but it has a long fun name and it seems to be their special dish. I did find the white gravy to be a bit unseasoned which some people may enjoy. As a former server of Texas roadhouse I’m a big fan of their white and gray gravy second only to Jollibee‘s gravy lol. Some salt and pepper did just fine for myself with a little bit of hot sauce. It felt like a very clean establishment. Service was pretty great for 4:30 in the morning. And you gotta keep these 24 hour shops alive and as far as service food and beyond go, I had a great breakfast.

We stopped here for breakfast one early morning of our vacation. The restaurant is clean, big and quiet. Our waiter Josue was super helpful and attentive. Definitely recommend for a good meal, the portions were big! They also had the cutest bear pancake for my little one!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Black Bear Diner never fails to hit the spot! It is easily my go-to spot for a top-tier breakfast whenever I’m just waking up and need something hearty. The food is consistently delicious—I can’t recommend the pancakes enough; they are always fluffy, golden, and satisfying. 🥞🍳🤤 Beyond the amazing food, the service is just as impressive. The staff is genuinely welcoming and attentive, which really sets the tone for a great morning. The atmosphere is super friendly and cozy, making it the perfect place to relax, eat, and start the day right. Whether you're heading in for a quick bite or a long, lazy brunch, you’re going to have a fantastic experience. Highly recommended! 😄🐕‍🦺

My first time in a Black Bear diner since before Covid. Very good food with the usual Black Bear big portions, but they also have some smaller dishes for us not-so-hungry folks or you can "brown bag" home your leftovers. The menu seems to have greater variety than before and the service was excellent.

Black Bear Diner is a reliable spot for classic American breakfast with generous portions and a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere. On my recent visit, I ordered the veggie omelet, which was fresh and packed with flavor. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, living up to the diner's reputation for standout breakfast staples. The cinnamon roll French toast was a highlight—rich, sweet, and perfectly cooked, making it a must-try for anyone with a sweet tooth. While the food was consistently good across the board, the service during my visit had a hiccup. After switching up our drink orders, our server still brought the original drinks. This mix-up left a less-than-ideal impression; if there was any confusion, it would have been better for the server to clarify rather than get the order wrong. Attentive service is usually a strong point at Black Bear Diner, as many reviews praise the staff for being friendly and accommodating, so this may have been an off moment. Big thanks to Antonio for being so friendly and welcoming during our visit. It’s always awesome to meet someone who can make us laugh and feel at home—keep up the fantastic work, Antonio! You truly make a difference Overall, Black Bear Diner delivers on food quality and portion size, especially with breakfast favorites like omelets, pancakes, and unique French toast options. Service is typically good, but attention to detail with orders could be improved.
