My son took Math Kangaroo test at Allstar Institute last month. Though I have never sent my son here in the past, I was very impressed with quality of work done by the students and posted on the entry hall walls when I entered the building. I spent some time reading over those works (Chinese writing compositions) carefully and thought these students are outstanding in writing Chinese stories. Not only are the Chinese hand writings very good considering these students are mostly 2nd generation Chinese, the contents of the stories are also very rich and lively. I am impressed and wondered how Allstar teaches Chinese lessons to these students. My son who goes to a different Chinese school on weekend, is nowhere near this level in both Chinese character hand writing and story telling. I also am very impressed with the Math Kangaroo organization done by Mr. Gary Scheppler and appreciative of the opportunity provided by Allstar for the outside students to take the Math Kangaroo test here. Mr. Scheppler helped students check in and carefully examed the answer sheet one by one when students turned in their answer sheet at the end of the exam to ensure all bubbles are properly filled in. Three weeks after the exam, he even helped me dig out my son’s test paper for me to take home. He patiently spent 30 minutes with me to sort out the test papers to ensure the paper I took home is correct as my son did not put his name on his own test paper. I really appreciate his patience and support during this process. As a parent who was not at all familiar with Allstar before this March, I am now impressed with the way they organize and teach students. I am glad I have this opportunity to get to know Allstar better through Math Kangaroo. Thank you!

We moved our child to Allstar from another school, and the change has been night and day. Since joining, we’ve seen so many more smiles! Our previous school felt like a 'learning factory,' treating kids like they came from a cookie cutter. But children have their own rhythm of growth, and Allstar truly respects that. What we love most is the diversity of activities. From Chinese, Math and Debate to Coding, there is something for every interest. Their Chess program is particularly impressive. It is so good that it even attracts students from other schools. The teachers here are professional, diligent, and clearly lead with love. They treat every child with genuine patience and respect. While the physical space is a bit cozy and the student-to-teacher ratio is on the higher side, the quality of care and the enriched environment make it well worth it. Highly recommended.

Very well organised Math kangaroo event. Taken good care of kids and maintained the pace for students to concentrate without any distraction. Parents were well informed and all the students were safely accompanied till parents picked them up.

I do not usually write reviews, but I really want to share how thankful I am for AllStar Institute. My kindergarten son has been going for about four months, and this place has made such a positive difference. He was actually scared at first because he came from another afterschool, but the teachers welcomed him with so much warmth. They found him a good friend right away, and they also let him spend mornings with older kids. The older children take on small leadership roles, and the younger ones feel instantly included, which helped him adjust so quickly. The teachers are wonderful. 贾老师 is someone I see at every drop-off and pick-up, and it feels as if I am leaving my child with a loving relative. 乐老师 is also amazing with both math and Chinese. Since my son loves numbers, she fits him perfectly. He already knows multiplication tables for 2, 3, 4, 5, and 10 as a kindergartener. Every week he surprises me with new Chinese poems, songs, and characters he learned. I also love their weekly chess class. Mr. Gary is awesome, and my son always comes home excited to show what he learned. The academic structure is great. Each week he brings home organized packets for Math, English, and Chinese. The learning environment is encouraging but never pressured. They balance manners, academics, and emotional support in the best way. Their transportation service also gives me peace of mind. We receive a daily photo, which reassures us so much. They even help during long weekends and school-off days. AllStar may be a school business, but they never act like one. They feel like a warm and caring community with truly qualified teachers. We are genuinely grateful to have found this place for our son.
