The staff and the doctor were fantastic. They got me in immediately and took great care of my 19 year-old cat. They were very empathic, thorough and explained what my options were. They did not pressure me into doing anything I did not feel comfortable doing. We got an antibiotic shot, and my cat is feeling better than ever. I have been bringing my pets to Aborn for over 30 years and have always received excellent care.

Dr Ravi Mann is wonderful. He communicates with me, so that I am involved in the care of my cat, he answers questions, he is clear in explaining results of my cat’s exams and any follow up needed. My cat is a senior of over 14, who has fear aggression around vets, and has needed to be sedated to be examined. Dr Ravi Mann has taken the time to adapt the timing of what needs to be done so we can schedule her appointments to be the easiest on my cat as possible without compromising the care she needs. I have been with Aborn for about 8 years and have seen two different vets and have been very satisfied with my experience at Aborn. The office staff id also knowledgeable and very helpful, both in person and by phone.

It’s easy to make appointment for my cat needs medical attention for not eating & drinking for 3 days & they wont force you to take all recommendations for your pet. I choose the one that I want for my cat for now. I might do some of their recommendations in the future, but due to budget tight - I choose what is needed for now. The ff. day my cat got better & he started to eat. Dr. Lee & staffs in Aborn is so nice, patient, knowledgeable & approachable. Thank you so much for the ABORN PET HOSPITAL Fremont .❤️🙏🏻🎉

I brought my cat, Uzma, to Dr. Kirandeep Gosal for her annual exam. A week after the appointment, I had to call the clinic myself just to ask about her lab results. While the front desk staff did eventually email the results to me and mentioned that the doctor would follow up to explain them, I never heard back from anyone. I believe the veterinary team and the doctor should be responsible for proactively keeping pet owners updated on critical lab results.

This review is directed both to future clients and to the doctors at Aborn Pet Hospital. I want to begin by saying the junior DVM we saw had excellent bedside manner. He was calm, patient, explained things clearly, and all three of my cats were comfortable with him. The veterinary technician who helped us was also outstanding — professional, respectful, compassionate, and clearly trying to balance the needs of both the patients and the clinic. In my opinion, she is a tremendous asset to this practice. Unfortunately, the administrative side of the clinic completely overshadowed the positive medical experience. As a new client, my first impression was surprisingly cold and unwelcoming. When I arrived with three cats, there was no greeting or welcoming interaction. We waited roughly 30 minutes past our appointment time before being brought into a room. Upon arrival, I informed staff that I needed to use the restroom, but no one gave me a direct answer. After being at the clinic for approximately 1.5 hours, I was finally told that clients are not allowed to use the restroom and that I would need to drive to McDonald’s down the street. I found this honestly shocking. Asking a client managing multiple animals to leave the property to use another business’s restroom is not reasonable customer service, especially when clients may be spending thousands of dollars on veterinary care. Leaving animals in a car, even briefly, can feel stressful and unsafe in an unfamiliar area on a warm day. I was also uncomfortable leaving my cats behind at the clinic while I searched for a restroom elsewhere. Throughout the visit, I was in significant physical discomfort from the urgency and pressure in my bladder, yet there seemed to be little concern or empathy from management regarding the situation. The second major issue involved the “New Client Complimentary Exam” promotion. Based on the wording on the website, I reasonably interpreted “new client” to mean each new patient/pet being presented. Instead, I was informed it only applies to the human household/account. As a result, only one exam was waived while I was charged exam fees for the other two cats, plus separate $9.99 “medical waste/materials” fees for all three cats even though they shared one exam room. After rereading the promotional terms, I genuinely believe the wording is unclear and likely to create misunderstandings with clients. Transparency matters because trust matters. Another thing that stood out was the overwhelming number of surveillance warnings, audio/video recording notices, and signs warning clients about profanity or frustration toward staff. While I absolutely support protecting employees from abuse, the overall atmosphere felt defensive and adversarial rather than warm and welcoming. One additional concern for some pet owners: the clinic informed me they would not treat pets unless they were current on rabies vaccination per City of Fremont policy, regardless of where the pet actually resides. Some indoor-only cat owners living outside Fremont may want clarification on this policy before scheduling. This experience was disappointing because the medical staff seemed caring and professional. We were prepared to move forward with several thousand dollars of veterinary care across our cats, but ultimately decided not to continue due to the customer service experience and loss of trust. My constructive feedback to ownership: Reevaluate the restroom policy for paying clients. Improve front desk hospitality and communication. Clarify promotional terms and fees upfront. Remember that bedside manner begins at reception, not just in the exam room. Good veterinarians and vet techs can lose excellent clients when administration creates an environment that feels rigid, impersonal, or unclear.
