Terrible staff from the receptionists to unreliable psychiatrists. I have seen multiple providers at this clinic for psychiatry, even a nurse practitioner and each one is worse than the last, they do not listen to patient needs and each appointment feels rushed as if they do not want to be working, they are also constantly making mistakes with your prescriptions. My appointments in the past have been canceled with 5 minute notice as well as rescheduled to leave me without my medication I rely on. I highly recommend you stay away from this clinic. I’ve been seeing psychiatrists for 6 years and have never experienced such a terribly run disorganized clinic and incompetent staff. Unfortunately I have contra costa health plan and my options were limited but I have luckily found a much better mental health clinic. If I could rate this clinic 0 stars I would.

TLDR: don’t waste your time here. They treat you like McDonald’s customers. They just want your money from your insurance company. I’m writing about this place 3 years after I completely disengaged with them so I am not depressed or anything because I’m so much better now after leaving them. I started off with therapist. I went through two. I have never gotten to the point where there’s just silence during the therapy only 15 minutes into the 45 min session with the . I asked him what should I do for a situation I’m facing. I get the question asked right back at me. If I knew the answer, why would I ask someone else? The second therapist was better but still pretty useless. The worst is the psychiatrist. He literally told me “no stories!” In the most condescending way and it’s very hard to describe your symptoms without going into details when you are sick. This was the first time I’ve had a medical professional rolling his eyes in front of me. At the end, we agreed on 3 medication. The psych only called in for one and it was the wrong dosage. The pharmacy called me to ask me to tell the prescriber to fix it cause it was too high. Front desk was useless cause they cannot read the doctors notes and never called back. I called many times and nothing happened. It’s an obvious sign of poor management and too many patients. I didn’t even bother to attend the last phone appointment and the psych finally used the appointment time to call in two out of the three medication correctly. This is after a month.

This place is sketchy. From the time I've been a patient here, several people have already resigned (a year-ish). You're never given a contact number to reach your practitioner directly (even though it's standard for all other places to do that), meaning if you have a med-related urgent question you need to call 911 or a 24/7 nurse number. I know this last bit personally because I had to go for some time without getting my meds...the receptionist lady was *supposed* to let my psych know about this but that never happened, I had to go through my pharmacy to get a refill. This is such a horrible, bloated process that can be remedied by receiving direct contact details to reach your psych (and if it's for privacy reasons then the company should lease company cells or google numbers to their employees). I think the biggest red flag though is that to avoid their current reputation, instead of trying to fix it they instead opted for a name change to "Wellity Health". No advance notice to patients, the employees or scheduling system had to switch over to the new name. Imagine my confusion when my next appointment reminder email came from Wellity Health instead of 3Prong Health...this is asking for some people to accidentally mark it as spam, an issue that could have at least been resolved by giving a heads-up. What if someone had an important appointment coming up and accidentally deleted the email because they thought it was spam? It makes the company look disorganized or incompetent, and the name change also gives the impression that the company doesn't have the intention of improving their system (because the way that the clinic is being run makes it look like a company that cares about money over the patient). Unfortunately this is my only option for getting help. But if you have the ability to choose something else then please do so. This place has horrible reviews for a good reason.

Avoid this sham of an institution at all costs. Of all the clinics I have ever interacted with, this establishment is by far the worst. Nothing comes even remotely close. The psychiatrists are great but the front desk and administrators will make your life a living hell. They have such pride in their ineptitude and apathy towards their clients. The passive aggressive tones and the heavy sighs make you feel like you're asking them for a favor rather than them literally just doing their jobs. Sometimes people get a little bit of power or authority and abuse it in any way they can. Maybe to feel a bit of a rush, an illusion of superiority, or simply brazen elitism. The receptionists are as useful as butter knife for a bowl of soup. It's not so much that they aren't much of a help, rather they are an active hindrance to the process of receiving the most basic health care. There's a common hope or notion that anybody in the medical field has a bit of compassion and desire to aid. The team at 3Prong health proves that that is unfortunately not true. The irony of this clinics intention being to provide mental support is laughable. It's truly ridiculous how little they care. Their callous attitude and lack of empathy is a rancid stench that you can smell through the phone. And my god, do they stink. There are other places that will take your insurance, there are other places where the front desk will at least pretend to have the slightest pinch of humaneness. There are places where people just don't check in and check out with no personal investment or pride in their occupation. I highly advise anybody reading to avoid this place, I really cannot imagine anywhere else being worse

While I was fortunate to be paired with a great therapist, I was not given any information prior about where they serve. So I received a call this morning ultimately to tell me that I can no longer receive services. Telling someone this with really bad anxiety and stress without providing alternative means to stay is such a great business model.
