Agility Robotics Opens New Physical AI Facility in Fremont

A new 60,000-square-foot facility is bringing additional robotics development and nearly 200 planned positions to Fremont.

Agility Robotics announced the opening of a new facility in Fremont, California, dedicated to developing the artificial-intelligence technology behind its Digit humanoid robot.

The Fremont location will operate as the company’s software and capabilities hub. Engineers will use the facility to train, test, and improve the technologies that allow Digit to learn new skills and perform increasingly complex tasks in commercial environments.

The 60,000-square-foot facility will complement Agility’s robot-manufacturing operations in Salem, Oregon. The company says it plans to hire nearly 200 professionals working in areas that include artificial intelligence, machine learning, software engineering, and field operations.
