Angelo was so helpful and efficient in my prenup process. He took the time to define every part of the agreement, understand what I was comfortable with and learn more about my relationship with my partner. He was a delight to work with, seemed to genuinely care about what I needed/wanted and felt he represented my interests well. Let me just start by saying that before finding Angelo I had worked with two different attorneys that did not help me dissolve my marriage. Angelo was great from the start of the process of my divorce. He took the time to explain all of my options and costs upfront. When my separation began, I quickly made a decision to seek out advice of a family law attorney. After a number of consultations with attorneys, I had one more with Angelo Lagorio. I was quickly impressed by Angelo’s confidence, clarity of his advice, directness of his inputs and simplicity of his strategy. I walked away from that consult with an understanding of the process that I didn’t get from other attorneys with whom I talked. I had one more consult scheduled and decided to cancel that, knowing that Angelo was the right person to represent me and to take on my case. Angelo encouraged me to take time away that I had plans to enjoy. I did that. During that time, I was being constantly engaged by my spouse. I contacted Angelo, to engage his services. He again gave me direct feedback to detach from my spouse and to find a way to enjoy the time away. That was sound advice. Over the next two years and 5 months, Angelo kept me as even keeled as I could be. During the entire time, my spouse and her attorney introduced complexities, resulting in added legal fees and time delays. Angelo stayed the course of the strategy we had discussed in the consult. He effectively managed the complexities the opposing counsel and his client threw at us. The legal fees were not insignificant to me, given that I am disabled and no longer able to work. However, Angelo successfully ensured that I received property and financial settlements that I was due. Overall his upfront fee estimate was within an acceptable range and actual expenses were close to estimate. He told me up front of things that could cause that overall cost to vary. His billing was always representative of work he actually preformed. I was never surprised by a bill. Furthermore, his choice of a forensic CPA was perfect. That expert helped to untangle commingled marital expenses, both pre and post separation. Overall I am grateful for Angelo I am completely satisfied by my decision to select him and with the outcome he achieved.
