On our way to Napa Valley today, we ordered tuna kimchi, original, shrimp, egg bomb gimbap, a crab roll, and an avocado Issac-style toast, and they were all absolutely delicious! You could really taste the freshness of the ingredients, and everything was perfectly balanced. Honestly, it was better than most gimbap places back in Korea. The two staff members at the shop were incredibly kind—they made sure to pack enough chopsticks and tissues, and they even thoughtfully gave us a banana milk and some drinks for our child. We were so grateful!

Excellent food and quick service. We ordered the smoked salmon sandwich, combo Isaac, ham and cheese Isaac, and the beef kimbap. All had good flavors and tasted fresh. Finally was able to try this place. They close early at 3pm so we never got a chance to try it. So glad we tried it today for an early lunch. Good price for the food. Most items were between $5-8. We will be returning to try their other items. Highly recommend.

This spot is super tiny but busy so ordering ahead is a pro tip. There are not any tables for eating, just a counter. I enjoyed the egg-salad sandwich with ham, cucumber, corn, and buttered wheat bread quite a lot. The pork bulgogi onigiri had great flavor, and I was quite impressed by the inventive wrap that separates the nori so that it doesn't get damp. I was not quite so excited by the bacon kimbob, in part because I like my bacon crispy and this wasn't quite there. It's also quite dry. Other Rice Junkies in the Bay Area have a specialty wrap with macaroni salad and a range of sauces, but this seems to be the first one that they're experimenting with toast-based items more. I did not try the Issac toast, which is their signature item here that features an omelet inside of bread. I would go back to try that.

Rice Junky is such a pleasant surprise! The food is flavorful, fresh, and served in generous portions. Everything tastes well-balanced and satisfying. The staff are friendly and the service is quick, making it perfect for a casual meal or takeout. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!

I really wanted to like this place. I think it’s got great decor (efficient in how they used the space), hardworking staff, and is incredibly instagramable (both in terms of the wings on the wall while you wait and the way the food is presented and packaged). We ordered a bunch of items: fish cake kimbap, onigiris, rice cakes, the combo Issac and the bulgogi sandwich. The onigiris and the kimbap were probably the most appetizing - but nothing extraordinary. The rice cakes were also okay, but a little pricey for its portion size. The sandwiches, however, felt like they were constructed for the snap/gram: great colors and great variety of items stuffed in. Taste-wise, I think it tried too hard to mix in western flavors and was a little too greasy. The bulgogi sandwich almost tasted like a Philly cheesesteak but with very sweet beef. Meanwhile, the jam/sauce of the Issac sandwich similarly took away from the overall sandwich. Great for sharing, but probably too much as an individual meal.
