I was lucky enough to win an ebike voucher through Ava Community Energy (eligible to Alameda County residents) for $400 off a standard ebike or $900 off a cargo ebike. Niles Bicycle had the perfect deal, a $999 Lectric XP4 500w ebike classified as cargo, so only $99 (not including taxes and installation fee)! Al, the shop owner, was so kind and helpful. He went on the Lectric website and saw that this model was on sale for $899 and honored it. So I essentially got the bike for free, and with taxes and installation fee came to only a little over $200! I waited a few weeks for my bike to ship and arrive. During this time, Al called me and told me he accidentally overcharged me by $17 due to something about the tax, and Zelled me the difference. Truly a business owner who cares about their customers. I felt very well taken care of. My bike later arrived in great condition, assembled and ready to go! This is my 1st ebike ever, and I’m already having so much fun with it. A huge shoutout to Al and his employee Chris(?) for being so helpful and kind throughout the whole process! If you get the Ava ebike voucher yourself or just want to support a local bike shop, Al’s Nile Bicycles is the way to go.

We truly enjoyed our seamless experience here at Niles Bicycles. The owner, Al, is really nice and accommodating. We found his shop because they have the Lectric foldable electric bike that we were eyeing. They also have it in store so we were able to test drive it before we committed to purchasing. We’ve convinced our loved ones to also try electric bikes and have visited this shop multiple times. We have now purchased 3 electric bikes from Al’s shop. It’s always been a great experience every time! Happy to support local.

I had a great experience at Niles Bicycle Shop in Fremont. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about cycling. They took the time to answer all my questions without rushing me and made sure I felt confident about my purchase. Their selection of bikes and accessories is solid, and everything is well-organized and easy to browse. What really stood out to me was their honesty—they weren’t trying to upsell, just focused on helping me find what actually fit my needs. I also appreciated how efficient and detail-oriented their service was. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced rider, this shop makes you feel welcome and taken care of. I’ll definitely be coming back for future tune-ups and gear.

Al is the man and even though I forgot his name his builder is great to. The custom builds he does are classic and some of the best I’ve seen anywhere, but getting to the point. Im also an Ava E-bike rebate winner. I am the third family member to win and we have gotten all three from Al and his shop, we drive from 35 minutes away just because of the great service and good vibes Al and his crew show to everyone who enter his shop. Al is the most honest and positive sales person I’ve come across.My family and I won’t go anywhere else.

The guys at Niles are amazing! We purchased a Lectric bike and after setting it up at home the tire punctured somehow. I took it back and Chris immediately took care of it for me, no questions asked, and I was out of there in 15 mins. Their professionalism and attention to detail is amazing along with prompt, courteous service! Highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a bike!
