This little bookstore is a true gem. The selection is thoughtfully curated, and the staff are exceptionally friendly; they check in regularly and genuinely want to help. It is refreshing to have a place like this in our part of town. I hope more small businesses join the neighborhood and bring even more life to the area. If you are nearby, stop in and pick up a book or two to help this wonderful shop continue to thrive.

My daughters found three books at this cute store. My girls liked “the book talkers” on the shelves because they knew two of the students who left reviews! What a clever way to involve and connect to the Fremont community! I also appreciated that Banter Bookshop donated a gift card and two books to our local school for a raffle drawing.

Loved this little bookstore! Cozy and clean, with such a tasteful selection of books. Plus it’s in a lovely area, just a short walk from the downtown shopping center!

This is a cute bookstore, but the service is discriminatory. On two occasions, a staff member named Ellen was unkind and treated me with blatant suspicion. During my last visit, she pointedly ignored my greeting and even closed the front door while I was browsing near it, yet she was incredibly warm and helpful to the person standing right behind me. Despite their flyer claiming to support immigrants, it’s clear that Black customers are not welcome or trusted here. My husband and I put our things down and left without purchasing anything.

This gems bookstore is a must visit in Fremont. It is a space of relaxation, knowledge, and introspection. I enjoy the way they display top sellers and staff recommendations. They have book and kids events too on their website.
